• THIS PART OF ME • YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THIS PART OF ME I'LL NEVER SHOW - - - - - - - - - - - - “I suppose so,” James mused. He didn’t exactly think it was a good thing. Maybe if Lily was tucked in her bed, she wouldn’t know that James Potter had enough things he was afraid of that woke him up at night. He sighed quietly, he wasn’t quite sure if he wanted Lily to know things scared him. He tried so hard pretending that he was fearless, he was Gryffindor after all, he was brave. Well he was supposed to be, but ever since his mum died, things went to hell. People left, James never really realized that until then but people left and they left often. One day we could all wake up and half the school could be gone, what if one day he woke up and Moony, Padfoot, Wormtail, Lily, anyone, and everyone could be gone. He felt the ache occur once more in the pit of his chest. It hurt like someone had stabbed him, not just like a dream. He reached over and grabbed his glasses pushing them back over his eyes. He turned to meet Lily’s gaze, maybe he should have left them off.
He nodded slowly, no one wanted to times their boggart by twelve. He rubbed his temples once more before listening to her next statement. Talking about it? He felt like taking it out of his mind why would he want to talk about it? He felt her arm wrapped around him tightly. How could he deny her wanting to help him. This would mean opening up about his mum, his fears about Remus’ problems, Sirius stubbornness, the fear of losing both of them, the fact that Peter hadn’t even made the cut was odd. He would also have to open up about the awful beasts attacking Lily, and how, he couldn’t save her. He drew in a deep breath. “It’s a downer,” He replied. Somehow, with Lily’s arm around him, he could have talked about his mom and never felt it. He tight grip reminded him a little bit of her, in the comforting sense. She was right, it was a good thing she was here. He would have broken rules anyways bonding in her room to make sure she was okay, but that wouldn’t have ended well. “It started with my mum,” James heart ached again. Her voice screaming for help as she slowly passed. The pain he witnessed in his father’s eyes. Could he talk about this without crying. “I was there, when she passed. Slowly and painfully she wanted me to help her. But I couldn’t,”
James felt the lump forming in his throat. “I relived my dads expression when he came home from Mungos with the certificate. Sirius and I were walking back from town, but the moment I saw his bent over body, I knew what happened.” James could still hear his dads shaky voice. He was telling James that they would be okay, but just like in his dream he ran away. James had no idea how to deal with things like that. He’d never had a trial in his life more then Lily Evans not loving him back that all he knew to do was run away. “The sad part is, most of that isn’t a dream, it was just memories re occurring.” James tightened his grip once more. He could feel her colder skin against him. It was soothing and relaxing. She didn’t have a mild heart attack. “It changed, I’m not quite sure where we were. But it was Padfoot, Moony and I,” James left out the hideous details of what Remus looked like, and how Padfoot and himself were worn from a hard night of trying to stay awake with their best mate. “Someone stood and tossed the two around, I went for my wand but it was gone,” James finished quietly. He turned making sure it was still there.
“They called for me to help them, and I couldn’t, then I was hit,” James could hear his two best mates voices in the back of his mind. ‘help us’ they cried. He rubbed his temples, the headache was coming back, weather it was from lack of sleep or the dream he wasn’t quite sure. “The last,” James cleared his throat. His grip didn’t release from Lily. “Someone, was torturing you,” He couldn’t bring himself to say how, he didn’t want to give Lily nightmares. The screams echoed in the back of his mind, and James felt the liquid start to fall. He was going to blame this night on lack of sleep for the rest of his life. James rubbed at his eye, leaning his head against Lily’s. “I couldn’t help you either,” He wanted to so very badly. He wanted the screaming to stop, he wanted the figure to leave, he wanted to kick all those beasts in a place that would hurt and send them running. Instead the bloodied body of his love laid in his mind. The screams matching, she was wearing the peach tank top he loved, the blood stained it red. Her fingers were scraping for help. And he did nothing, could do nothing. Even though it wasn’t real it was far to real for comfort. James left his head against Lily’s. “Pretty Awful,” James finished.

WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS I’M ON A RIDEYOU'RE TOXIC, BOY I’M SLIPPING UNDER Lily liked sensitive guys. Macho-ness was good at times, but it was not necessary at all times. It was nice to know that James was human. Lily saw him put his glasses back on, and she figured that this meant he was going to continue on. This was a good thing for her. Getting James to open up a bit would mean that there would be a deeper connection between Lily and James. Her green eyes watched his every action. He warned her that it was depressing. She assumed so, judging from the way he woke up in a fright. She squeezed his hand, "That's okay," she replied, "Maybe talking about it will make you feel a bit better?" Lily suggested.
As he started to tell her about his nightmare, Lily folded her legs and pressed her back against the back of the couch. Her hand was still gripping his tightly, but she was not leaning on him fully; she was just sitting next to him, he was still holding onto her though. She was not going to leave his side anytime soon. Her thumb was still rubbing circles softly, slowly and soothingly on the back of his hand, "That's horrible," she commented. So it was his mother that passed away... Before, Lily was not positive about who it was that he loved that died, but now she knew. He switched subjects, and she was not going to make him linger on the subject of his mother dying. He went on to talking about Remus, Sirius and himself. Well, that's not who he named, but everybody had learned the Marauders' nicknames for each other; she just did not know why though. She was sure it was not a flattering name, "Moony" and "Wormtail" did not seem like names that were based from their real ones.
She turned her head as he continued on explaining his dream. He told her that the last one was her being tortured. She looked at James and saw moisture running down his face. She reached up with her free hand and wiped the tears gently from his face. She did not like tears; she never had, and she never will. When he finished, Lily sat back up. She felt it as her responsibility to make James' sorrow disappear. Her legs were folded behind her and she sat on her calves. "It was just a dream," she assured. Her hand had left his, "I'm safe, as are Remus, Sirius and Peter," she wasn't positive on this, but she could hope. And for James' sake, she was not going to add an awkward 'maybe' into that. "Nobody is going to die tonight. We're all safe here. Hogwarts is safe," Lily added on. She sat up and kissed him passionately, her hands cupping his face. She threw every comforting and loving emotion she could gather and put it into that kiss. When she pulled away, she was not sure if it had been minutes or mere seconds. She threw her arms around James' broad shoulders and squeezed him tightly. with a taste of a poison paradise i'm addicted to you; don’t you know that you’re toxic -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WORDS: 511 OUTFIT: had to change it up! NOTES: </3 HEARTBROKEN in that post. • THIS PART OF ME • YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THIS PART OF ME I'LL NEVER SHOW - - - - - - - - - - - - To say you fell in love with someone all over again sounded so cliché, though the moment Lily took the moment to wipe away his tears, the years of rejection melted away. It felt like they had been dating for a lifetime. He couldn’t explain this feeling, this woman could beat him around, he could cry in front of her, he could talk about things that scared him, he even could tell her he loved her without her freaking out. She was absolutely fantastic. If he would have known for a split second that changing his attitude would have won her over so long ago, he would have went sprinting. His heart was aching but just the touch of her and he was already slowly healing. It wasn’t stopping the screaming though; those green eyes lying on the floor still were stuck in his head. What could he do? He couldn’t go back and remove it. Lily was right, they were all safe, for now. He rubbed at his eyes looking back into her. “But we all might… it’s a war Lily,” He finished quietly. His voice was barely above a whisper. It was a good thing they were rather close, otherwise she might have missed everything he had just said.
Lily was right, everyone was safe in Hogwarts. Until the full moon, until Lily decided to make one of her frequent trips back to Mum and Dad. His heart wrenched. He couldn’t follow them everywhere, what was he going to do every time one of them left? Have a small heart attack, he felt his heart pick back up in the constant stress mode. He didn’t know what or how to feel. He, knew any of them, at any moment could meet Death. James felt Lily’s lips against his, he froze mid thought. Her arms wrapped around him and for a split second, he thought he could have died after and lived a happy life. His arms re wrapped themselves around her small frame. His lips moved along with hers, she always knew. She knew how to make it all go away, how to make it seem not as bad. She was absolutely amazing. He was also now going to declare every night was spent like this but was slightly scared. Maybe they would have to barricade the door and move out into the common room.
He was now glad his glasses were on. He lost track of the time, he could have stayed like this forever. His hands gripped each side of her, his grip was not about to let her get away. She pulled away and he froze, not he certainly didn’t want that to stop. She then lunged towards him throwing her arms about his shoulders. He knew it, she couldn’t get enough of him now. He smirked to himself. He let go of her waist with one hand, prying her head from his chest to look back into those jewels. His half smiled graced his expression before kissing her lips softly, he pulled back looking back into her eyes. “You know everything, Evans.” He replied. “Know how to mend a broken heart, fix a messed up boy into a man, comfort one’s worst drag. I don’t understand how you do it, but I love that about you,” He leaned back into to kiss her again. His hand returning back down towards her waist. To say the kiss surprised him was true, he loved her take charge spit fire personality.
“I’m not quite sure how I lived before tonight,” He muttered quietly. His lips reuniting with hers. His left hand left her waist once again brushing the hair from her face. His hand fell back into the silky red locks of hair and slowly traced down to her shoulder. He left a kiss on her shoulder, his lips slowly moving from her shoulder to her ear. “You know, I don’t believe I’ll ever let you leave this room.” James chuckled. It was never going to happen, but he could wish and hope. James brought her waist closer towards him. She was now basically on top of him and he wouldn’t have it any other way. His smiled softened leaving his head on top of hers. If he ever heard her screaming like that again, he would go insane. He wasn’t quite sure what would happen if this woman ever left his life. He would be sure to do everything in his power, even without a wand to prevent something happening to her. He was far more then lucky, he was starting to believe Lily was settling for him, but he was one happy bloke for her deciding to settle.

WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS I’M ON A RIDEYOU'RE TOXIC, BOY I’M SLIPPING UNDER Lily was getting very sensitive to James. Anything that was or had happening to him was affecting her in serious ways. This kind of thing had never happened to any other person she had gone out with or was "in love" with. She took this as a sign that Lily was genuinely in love with James. Yes, Lily Evans was in love with James Potter. She was going to finally accept it. Somehow she guessed that she had loved him all along, but she doubted that that was true. She had positively absolutely hated James in her first few years at Hogwarts. She would avoid him like the plague. In fifth year, she grew on decent terms with Remus, but that was it. Black, Pettigrew and Potter she could not stand whatsoever. But now, Lily was in love with Potter James. Oh, how things could change drastically in just two years...
His whisper scared her. She had known James to be a wild and crazy boy. The whisper was very quiet. Had she been possibly a few feet away, she would not have heard him at all. She had to remain positive. Any negative would have frightened her, and maybe James too. "While there's a chance that we might, there's still a chance we might not." Lily reasoned. Was there the chance that they would die before this war was over? Yes. But, was there the chance that they would all survive and prosper? Of course! Lily had had doubting thoughts of them all dying, but she tried not to linger on them too much; she was afraid if she thought of it too much, then she may mess it up by accidentally keeping herself in the negative mindset. Negativity would get her nowhere, she knew that.
She had felt safe in his arms. They were like a sanctuary to her. Any fear or doubt was erased when his broad arms had engulfed her petite form. When she was with him, she felt like she would be able to do anything without any worries. Such as staying down here without her worrying about getting caught and in trouble. If he was there, things would be okay. Things would be fine. Things would be perfect. Hugging him tightly to her, as if she was afraid he would disintegrate away into space, she dug her face into his shoulder. He kissed her again, before she reply with a proclaim of her own love with the boy in front of her. A throaty chuckle came into their hearing when he said he wasn't sure how he lived before tonight.
Lily shivered as his touch. He brushed some of her ginger hair, and she involuntarily shivered. Lily giggled uncharacteristically. "I wouldn't expect you to." she said, feeling no awkwardness from her being on top of James. She tried not to think of it, otherwise she would think it was very awkward. There was that feeling again. The safety. She could not get enough of this feeling. It was great. It was almost like euphoria. She felt like nothing could bring her down. It felt as though nothing in the world could harm either of the two. with a taste of a poison paradise i'm addicted to you; don’t you know that you’re toxic -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WORDS: 532 OUTFIT: had to change it up! NOTES: lalala CREDITS: marmarizzle on CAUTION 2.0
