WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS I’M ON A RIDEYOU'RE TOXIC, BOY I’M SLIPPING UNDER The only thing Lily wanted to do was hug James and make all the pain of losing whoever he lost. She didn't feel like it was any of her business to find out who it was. She wanted to find out - believe you me - but as they said, "Time will tell." She'd find out sooner or later. Either he was going to tell her, or the curiosity would eat her alive and she would demand to know soon. Knowing Lily, most likely the latter. Her arms were wrapped around his muscular body, "without what?" she asked tiredly, her mouth against his chest so the words came out muffled. He was stuttering again, but she did not mind. If anything, she thought it was adorable.
She felt serious comfort wrapped in his arms. It was as if nothing in the world could harm her and nothing could hurt her. It was a feeling she never wanted to go away. It felt even better with his lips pressed against her own. For the past six years, she would have never dreamed of this moment. In fact, if someone had told her as a first year that she would wind up making out with James Potter she would have been so infuriated. She would have cast a small, measly little first year hex at you. But she ended up doing so and did not mind whatsoever. Besides, it was a great feeling.
James picked Lily up, and she involuntarily sucked in a huge breath of shock. She hadn't been expecting that, but she smiled huge. He was being the perfect boyfriend right now by her standards. He kissed her jaw, and she smiled deeply. He twirled her again, and she smiled again, breathing once more. She was smiling so huge at the moment. Where did this adorable and kind James Potter come from? Eh, not like she was complaining! She liked this James better than the arrogant one that asked her out every second of every hour of every day.
She squeaked a bit when he put her down on the couch's arm. It wasn't that he had told her that he loved her. It was that he wasn't being an arrogant toe-rag about it. He was different - she could tell. even thought it was only the first week back. Before she knew it, his hot breath was in her ear, the sound caressing her ear drum sweetly. She chuckled lightly. She thought of what to say in return. When he jumped over and onto the couch, she had decided to say, "Oh, do I?" His hand went up to mess her hair up again. He always did that. It had always looked like he had just gotten off of a broom. Her legs were resting in his lap comfortingly.
Lily was watching neither the fire nor the handsome boy in front of her. She was staring up at the chandelier in the room. It was elegant in every single way. The lights were dimmed at the moment, seeing as it was late in the evening. The bulbs were in a gold bulb, the light illuminating from the inside of it. The chandelier itself was a deep and see through maroon. It was decked out in a Gryffindor theme since its newest residents were from the house themselves - and both quite proud of that aspect.
She looked down at James when she felt like she was being watched. She could feel his hand on her crossed legs. It was nice knowing that he hadn't left yet. He was staring at her, but she could read his expression: love. Lily didn't know who she was going to tell first: Frank or her girls? Frank most likely, since he was the one she was always venting to about her problems with James and the Marauders. He'd definitely get a kick out of this. She wasn't sure how he was going to respond. She knew Frank was friends with the Marauders why, she would never know. James murmured about telling the Marauders, and she chuckled, "I know what you mean; I don't know how I'm going to tell Em, Nat and Alice," Oh, she would never hear the end of this. She looked down at her hands in her lap smiling bashfully and shaking her head. with a taste of a poison paradise i'm addicted to you; don’t you know that you’re toxic -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WORDS: 724 ?! • THIS PART OF ME • YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THIS PART OF ME I'LL NEVER SHOW - - - - - - - - - - - - James smirked as Lily asked if she actually owed him a date. Great. Does that mean he had to ask her out in some cute ridiculous way? He sighed quietly to himself, he would have to go beg Frank for help. James didn’t really do ‘cute’ without meaning to. He squeezed her leg gently leaning back into the cushioned couch. He wasn’t quite sure what to make of this. He was so afraid of falling out of bed, making out with the floor and realizing none of this happened. He had some many different fantasies about this very situation, although he would have to keep it under control. “Fine, I’ll figure out some puppy worthy way to ask,” James replied rolling his eyes once looking back up to Lily. He couldn’t help but let the smile linger on his face. She did this to him, all the time. She made him feel whole when he was nothing, she made him feel like there wasn’t a huge war raging outside. He had no idea how to explain what she made him feel beside whole. His body already missed being pressed against her, even while he still held her legs. He was ridiculous.
James twitched slightly, he forgot. Now he had to impress the whole Quidditch Team. Dam the whole quidditch team that included Sirius and Mar. Sirius would never let him live it down and poor Mar she didn’t desrve to get sucked into all of this. He was going to watch his back for Quaffles and Bludgers, maybe even bats. He got along with Vance, Logan, and Giles normally. He was almost certain he would be getting a stern talking to. This is when he wished Frank or Remus had joined Quidditch it would at least illuminate half the party. He looked back to Lily before shaking his head. “I don’t know, I’d rather be ridiculed to my face by Sirius then be plotted against by L.V.G” James gave the girls credit, he wasn’t scared of them but maybe he should be. He laughed to himself, he could picture Vance running after him with a beaters bat followed by Logan who would jump on his back, they would tie him up and he’d have to listen to Giles sing and talk his ear off. James physically winced, what a fate.
Although one look back at Lily and he knew it would all be worth it. He could handle three girls right? He closed his eyes for a moment. He hadn’t even seen Remus yet, just passing by usually. That was very unusual Peter was probably constantly following Sirius around, and Sirius for two people that lived together over the summers they sure weren’t seeing a lot of each other at school. Still he was pretty convinced that he would rather face his own gang of guys then face the lot of girls that were going to be watching his every move. He didn’t even want to think about what Vance was capable of, Sirius couldn’t woo her, so she was one bad girl. James felt a little uncomfortable going to Quidditch tomorrow. He turned back to Lily smiling. “I better behave myself, I may end up with a bludger to the head,” James replied.
He scooted leaned back against where Lily was currently sitting, laying his head where she was seated. He then brought his hands over his head picking Lily back up and cradling her on the side of the couch next to him. To say James wasn’t showing off a little bit would be a lie. He wasn’t being arrogant, but he definitely wasn’t being shy about the fact that he could lift Lily. This was as close as they could be without breaking the rules of what they stood for being in this room. James didn’t care, James pushed some of the red locks of hair from Lily’s face. He grinned, he really would take a bludger to the head if he was able to wake up to this every morning in the future. “I’m lazy,” James muttered as if making up an excuse to why he wanted her closer to him. “And I couldn’t see your beautiful face if I laid down,” James pecked Lily on the cheek before leaning his head on top of hers. He pulled her closer, almost so she was on top of him. That all he wanted was for Lily to fall off the couch while he was making his cute face. “If this isn’t comfortable, just let me know.” James finished, with a small wink. A little bit of the old James mixed with the knew, may be a perfect James.

WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS I’M ON A RIDEYOU'RE TOXIC, BOY I’M SLIPPING UNDER Was Lily acting a bit like a brat? Most likely. But hey, the boys in front of her had asked her out every day for six years. Now that they were going out, she wanted him to ask her out differently. She smiled at him when squeezed her leg. She was seriously falling for him now. If he was like this in first year, she most likely would have given him a time of day. But then again, she would have missed out on those "wonderful" dating ploys that she was thrust into during the years. Oh, yes, what would she have done without those?
All of this seemed surreal to Lily. To her, James was not known for acting sweet; he was known for acting arrogant and like a toe-rag. Hopefully, he would realize that some girls didn't like that - and that Lily was one of those girls. "Thank you," She leaned over and pecked his lips lightly. It was a very brief kiss, and she wanted more. But as of now, she was not going to push anything and just see where the two's relationship would go for the night. She knew she was going to have to give the girls a full report in the morning, so might as well make it not embarrassing to speak about.
Lily wasn't all sure where the relationship was going to go. With the war getting worse and worse (a fact she did not like to think about), she was not sure. Did she want to be with James forever? As of now, there was no doubt that the answer was yes. There was no doubt that the rest of the school was going to find out about their new relationship. Some people - most people - will probably think it's a joke until they actually see James and Lily together, and she won't be hexing him. She was sure some of the other Prefects would be a bit shocked at this news. Em, Natalie and Alice will be the most shocked surely.
Oh, Lord, she thought, The Marauders are definitely going to have a talking to with her. Now she was a little worried. Everybody knew of them and their antics, but she wasn't sure on what they would do to her. Surely nothing that would drive her away from James? She could only hope so. She giggled lightly when he mentioned he would rather be ridiculed than face her friends. "I feel the same way about Sirius, Remus and Peter," Remus and her were good friends, Sirius and her had their up's and down's, and Peter? Well, they were friends.
Still, whatever they had in store for her, she would take in stride. She really loved James and was going to have to deal with the Marauders if the two went off to get married. Wait, her thoughts came to a halt, Married? Her face visibly flushed at her own thoughts. Breathe, Lily. You two haven't even gone out on an official date! She looked away from James, hoping that he would not have seen her furious blush. Yes, that was a part of the night that she would forget to mention to her friends. She smirked and looked back at him, "Most likely," There was no telling what her friends would do. Maybe she should wait until after Quidditch practice to tell her friends. "I don't even want to imagine what the Marauders have in store for me." Her left hand came up and massaged her temple as she looked down with a small smile on her face.
Involuntarily squeaking in surprise when he lifted her again, she was then placed next to him. What was with him lifting her all of the time? Her hair had fallen in her face when she got settled in her new seat. Her hand almost made its way up to her face to brush it away, but James' hand beat it there. She smiled back at him and turned to look at him. Lily smiled, "You're sweet," she commented, being pulled closer to James. Normally, it would have been a bit uncomfortable, but it wasn't at the moment. She turned her head so that it was nuzzled in between James shoulder and his neck. She was very comfortable at the moment, so when he asked if it wasn't, she made a noise that was an attempt at telling him no, but it just did not make it out of her throat. with a taste of a poison paradise i'm addicted to you; don’t you know that you’re toxic -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WORDS: 751 OUTFIT: hmph, well this is a nifty little link NOTES: <3 now I really want a thread between lily and sirius and remus (since we don't have a peter ] CREDITS: marmarizzle on CAUTION 2.0

• THIS PART OF ME • YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THIS PART OF ME I'LL NEVER SHOW - - - - - - - - - - - - James gasped as Lily said she was nervous about talking to his mates. He shook his head almost in fake disappointment. “Oh please! Your already friends with Remus, and Peter will be shocked that your speaking directly to him. Sirius, what’s the worse he’s going to do? He know’s if he touches you, I’ll kick his arse!” James froze, he squinted once turning back to Lily, he grinned. Almost blushing, very close to blushing. He shook his head then simply shrugging his shoulders. “Uh. Yeah…,” James rubbed the back of his head leaning it back down against the large couch. He yawned once thinking over Lily’s statement again. He turned to face her, quirking an eyebrow. “Besides, they couldn’t do any physical damage. Even Sirius respects not harming a woman,” James smiled. Sirius would cheat, sleep, snog any woman that walked if he could. Though when it came to actually hurting them physically, he couldn’t see his mate doing such a sort of awfulness. That was saying something. He then thought back to Lily’s friends, L.V.G. on the other hand, they could hit him one to the goal posts and he’d fall over and Merlin knew what they would do to him.
“Your ‘girls’,” James quoted with finger quotes. “They can harm me,” James laughed. “I’ve seen Nat’s back swing, I’ve watched Vance push a Hufflepuff off their broom, and Logan, she’s brutal without even having to hurt someone. That little woman can fire off hurtful words faster then Frank would drop a five pound weight,” James replied shaking his head. “They could do real harm to me, tie me up, gag me throw me in a broom closet and I’d never be heard of again!” James shook his head, he couldn’t even imagine the possibilities those three girls had been plotting since he first started showing feelings towards Lily. He then froze, there was something worse. “Or worse, they could throw away the game! They could stop scoring, stop blocking, stop beating,” James mouth dropped in shock, he hadn’t even thought about that. The cup, it was so close, and yet it could be so far away. Oh how his priorities were arranged only Merlin knew how. “That cup, they wouldn’t sink that low,” James twitched in his seat turning to look at Lily. “Would they?”
James felt Lily nuzzle under his head. He couldn’t help but make a small noise, just after he asked if she was comfortable she made a similar noise. Content, he believed. James smiled, tightening his arm around Lily’s back, he moved over as far as he could to provide her back a little more room. James wasn’t large, but his quidditch frame did take up a little more room on the couch then he hoped for. He closed his eyes, trying to picture a house, their house. James had been thinking this since he could remember. It was funny, James tried to think of other woman he ever wanted to be with, none came to mind. James was stricken ever since his first year and another woman had ever entered his mind. He opened his eyes, he still felt her there. He couldn’t ask for a better feeling. James ran a hand through the locks of hair on the other side of her face. It was almost a stroking motion. “I’m scared to sleep,” James reminded her, attempting to keep his eyes open. “What if I wake up, and this was all a dream?” James mumbled, his eyes shutting slowly.

WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS I’M ON A RIDEYOU'RE TOXIC, BOY I’M SLIPPING UNDER Thank God she had made friends with Remus already. He had a point about Peter, but Lily was still unsure about Black. He had always surprised her when they talked, or when she was around him. She would expect him to do something that was completely and utterly stupid, but what would he do? Something else that was completely and utterly stupid, something that was the farthest thing from her mind. Lily had a smile on her face when James had finished his miniature rant. Was he about to blush? Oh, this she wanted to see. She had blushed enough for the both of them, but she was most likely going to blush some more before the night was over.
Lily shook her head. "They won't do anything. Or rather - they better not do anything." Lily corrected herself. Lily couldn't help but laugh when James had told her things that the three had done. "All I can say is to expect a strong talking to from Emmeline," Em was like the "Mama Bear" of the group, "I don't know what to warn you about for Natalie. Maybe the same as Em," she mused. "As for Alice," she stopped and thought for a moment, "I don't know... She's been a bit off lately." She was getting worried for her somewhat friend. Were Lily and Alice super-close? Hell no. Were they friends? Yeah, I guess... Lily couldn't help but laugh when James told her that her friends would kidnap him, "They wouldn't, you big drama queen!"
Rolling her eyes at James' obsession with Quidditch, Lily should probably have been used to it by now. You would think so considering her three best friends were on the Quidditch team. She was used to being left out of Quidditch-based conversations. "James, sweetheart. I really doubt that they would do that," she reassured, "I bet that cup means a lot to them as well," She honestly had no idea. She didn't speak "Quidditch" so she didn't know as much about it as they all did. Lily squeezed James' hand, trying to reassure him.
As James tightened his grip over Lily, she moved closer next to him. She didn't mind if she did not have a lot of room; she just wanted to be near him. He had a point. What if this was all a dream? Her left hand pinched her right forearm. It hurt. That meant that it wasn't, right? How embarrassing would it be if she got the phrase wrong. "Ow..." she murmured quietly. Her complexion was turning into a deep red color. She felt his hand running through her hair again and smiled. Suddenly, the mark wasn't hurting anymore. "Me too," she said honestly, "But I don't think it's a dream." She used to tell James when he asked her out, "In your dreams!" but that normally meant his dreams. She didn't know how to explain it, but she just had this feeling that it was not a dream. That it was real. with a taste of a poison paradise i'm addicted to you; don’t you know that you’re toxic -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WORDS: 502 OUTFIT: hmph, well this is a nifty little link NOTES: really quick reply! • THIS PART OF ME • YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THIS PART OF ME I'LL NEVER SHOW - - - - - - - - - - - - James smiled softly; at least if they did harm him he would earn a sympathetic card from Lily. A strong talking to he could handle, his main cause would to never make them have to beat him. He really didn’t see giving them any reason. A man that chased his dreams for six years and finally got them didn’t exactly give up on that goal, and if they did it was a huge and very logical reason. He sighed as Lily jumped to defend her sweet little innocent angels. He knew them, he knew what they could be capable of. James smirked. “Well, if one night I don’t turn up. Ask them first,” James shook his head. He then listened to Lily about Alice. He shook his head once taking in this thought. Remus was acting strange also, and if James noticed someone was acting strange, they were really off. He looked back to face Lily. “You should talk to him, he’s acting strange. He’s even hanging out with Frank,” James paused. “Not that Frank’s bad but, hanging out with Frank instead of us, that’s weird even for Remus,” Remus wasn’t flowerly and he didn’t sit around and talk to girls.
James figured he was probably right. Vance especially wanted the cup almost as bad as he did. He could have at least some confidence in that. Logan probably wouldn’t care if she was feeling a bit off and Giles had her whole life planned and last time she decided to tell the world, it didn’t include a Cup in it, so he thought she might live through it. He felt Lily squeeze his hand and the thought completely fell through his mind. What was he even thinking about? James froze when Lily said ow, did he hurt her. He turned to notice her hand leaving her arm, he smirked. Did she just pinch herself? He could help but let a chuckle slip through his lips. She was absolutely perfect. He watched her as she confirmed she didn’t think it was a dream. James yawned nodding. He couldn’t really explain himself either. He dream of things like this but never had them happen. So he had a right to worry.
His eyes shot open turning back to look at her. “You know, if I did wake up tomorrow and none of this happened. I would confiscate a time turner and relive this dream for the rest of my sad, lonely, life.” James replied. His other hand continued to play with her, it was extremely soft, and it was an excuse to feel more of her skin. James’ eyes closed once more, he could seriously fall asleep right now. A thought then struck him. His eyes shot back open turning to Lily. “What if we didn’t go back to our separate rooms tonight?” James wriggled his eyebrows once. He tightened his grip on Lily as if scared she’d try to run away now. “How many rules would that be?” James hardly cared about the rules, he had no idea how he even became Head Boy after all the trouble he caused the school.
He just couldn’t imagine leaving right now. He didn’t want to move, ever. He would fail all his glasses, miss quidditch, could he just pretend this room was life? Keep them safe forever, and never have to age, go bald, though one day it would be fun to see his beautiful babies made with Lily Evans. James smirked at the thought. “You do know every time you leave campus now, I’m bound to follow,” James replied once more. He was now scared of her off grounds, what if something happened to her and he wouldn’t even know until too late. James rolled his wrist in applying to he was giving into something he didn’t really want to admit. “Like, a puppy on a leash.” James rolled his eyes once before kissing Lily’s forehead.

WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS I’M ON A RIDEYOU'RE TOXIC, BOY I’M SLIPPING UNDER If Lily knew one thing, it was that her posse wouldn't harm her James if she told them not to. Now, back when Lily would vomit at the mere mention of his name, they were free to hex him if they pleased. But now that things were different, she would have to set the record straight. Lily chuckled lightly, "Noted," she informed him. It was nice to be able to joke with him without wanting to punch him in the stomach. "Remus?" Lily didn't think Remus would be one to act strange - but then again, she also didn't know why he of all people would be best friends with the Marauders. Lily turned and faced James when he mentioned Frank with what she understood as contempt. She felt like slapping him for offending her best guy friend, but she settled on hitting him in the chest.
She turned back to lean against him after she pinched herself. She was incredibly comfortable lying here in his arms. It was like nothing in the world could harm them. It was like there was no war, no deaths - nothing. She snuggled closer to him when he mentioned he'd steal a time-turner to come relive this moment if it ended up being a dream. "Could I borrow it?" she joked, her tone dropping in volume. It was getting later and later. The seventh year was becoming more and more tired by the moment, "What could I do to prove that this isn't a dream?" she murmured sleepily. She was drifting off asleep in his arms when he mentioned not going to their rooms for the night. She would have shot right up, had his grip not been tightened. Lily settled on turning her head to him, "James Potter!" She chastised.
Scoffing, she answered his question, "Quite a few, I'm assuming!" Eh, what could she say? Lily was a little high-strung when it came to following the rules. She wasn't sure how she felt about the rules. Ever since she became a Prefect, rules became much more important to follow. Now that she was almost graduating, what would be there to lose if she broke a measly little rule? While she knew of this fact, she could not get her mind to grasp that fact. It was almost impossible. How was she going to break out of this mindset she had put herself in? Could James change this mindset, the forever loving prankster?
Lily laughed. The reality of the thing was that they both knew that he was being dead serious. "Oh, I know," That was going to take some getting used to. She smiled when he mentioned a puppy, "Oh, it's a puppy this time? Not a squirrel?" She couldn't help but let the smirk seep through at this. with a taste of a poison paradise i'm addicted to you; don’t you know that you’re toxic -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WORDS: 467 OUTFIT: hmph, well this is a nifty little link NOTES: so i'm assuming Lily does not know about Remus being a werewolf, but because of Snape she has her own beliefs. • THIS PART OF ME • YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THIS PART OF ME I'LL NEVER SHOW - - - - - - - - - - - - James smiled as Lily punched him in the chest. He couldn’t help it, all the guys knew something was a bit off with Frank. The guy hardly ever dated and when he flirted it was always with Giles or Logan. He usually gave up with Logan and stuck it out with Giles. So, Giles was a weird one for Frank to flirt with. Then again after James thought about it, they both had a thing for muggle music. Maybe they would make a perfect couple. He couldn’t voice this of course because he would get another hard punch to the chest. He simply settled for a grin that showed teeth before replying. “Well, if Frank didn’t show a little interest in Giles then I’d be extremely worried for Remus safety,” It was rude, and James realized it after it slipped through his lips. He was going to ruin everything, he rubbed the back of his head before staring back to Lily. “I mean that in the best way possible. Frank has helped a lot, so I guess I should stop. I guess if Remus wants to hang out with Frank a little it won’t be the end of the world.” James hardly felt that inside, It was a strange feeling that James wasn’t used to. He felt like…Remus wasn’t allowed to have other friends. Maybe because James felt a little left out? Nah.
“You really shouldn’t ask me that,” James replied shutting his eyes. Lily gave him the complete ultimatum of what she could do in the whole world that would convince him that it wasn’t a dream. He could think of plenty of things, well actually. He couldn’t, most of the things he quickly thought of was only things that would happen in his dreams, even if this moment was real. “I want you to sleep with me,” James paused, not what he meant. Well it was what he meant, but-dam. James threw his hands up bolting up on the couch, quickly holding onto Lily so he didn’t accidently knock her off. “Not like that,” James had far too much respect for Lily to bolt into a frenzy of snogging simply because he won her over. He fantasized about it, he was still human. But he still had some self-control. James paused when she repeated her squirrel patronizing statement. He laughed quietly. “Even a squirrel has dignity, a puppy. No dignity. None whatsoever,”
James then had to re touch his rather awkward statement. Make it Lily approved. He paused, “I want to be able to wake up to you, Lily. And I mean that without any subliminal messages.” James paused, was that the complete truth? He laughed nervously, letting a faint pink raise over his cheeks. “Well maybe that isn’t a 100% true, but I wouldn’t dream of doing anything and ruining this night,” James replied. He was talking to much, he could sense it. But this was his dream, it wasn’t much, it wasn’t grand. He wanted to wake up next to the girl he loved, knowing she didn’t regret anything about kissing him back, that was finally okay with being ‘Potter’s girl’. James shuffled out from between the two of them. He grabbed something from his back pocket. It was invisible; he was more than likely positive that Lily would think he was crazy now, if she didn’t already assume it before. James quickly unfolded the material, his left hand that was holding the material disappeared from view. The right wrist continued to unroll the material, covering then his right hand. James looked back up to Lily grinning. “We wouldn’t even be breaking any rules, no one would see us,”
James threw the rest of the cloak around him, pulling his head close to his chest, his entire body disappearing. He bumped Lily’s leg once, before smirking to himself. “See? No rules broken, one request fulfilled. What do you say Evans?” James replied, using Evans in a rather playful manner. He slipped his hand over Lily’s leg, grasping her ankle in his hand, letting the cloak slowly fall over her foot so it disappeared with him. He laughed to himself. “Before you give me all the credit for this beautiful invention, I’m afraid it’s not all my doing. But it was somewhere along the lines a Potter’s doing,” James laughed quietly, he snaked around the couch and pulled the cloak over his head, leaning over her to meet her lips. He pulled back to examine her before smirking, he pulled the cloak off the rest of him. Before shrugging his shoulders. “One night of rule breaking, will it kill you Lily?”

WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS I’M ON A RIDEYOU'RE TOXIC, BOY I’M SLIPPING UNDER Lily loved Frank. I mean, she loved him in a different way than she did James, but she did love him. He was a great friend, and Lily was incredibly lucky to have him as one. What would she do without him? Well, for one, she would have no idea about anything in a guy's mind. Two, she wouldn't have anybody to rant to about the posse with. However, Natalie and Frank were good friends as well. Had he not been in love with Alice, she would suggest Natalie and Frank to get together. Yes, thank Merlin for Frank. Lily gave a stern look at James. He already had his foot in his mouth with his comment about Frank, but with every word, he was shoving it down more and more. Her stern look had softened when he realized that it was rude. He really had changed because of his loved one dying. "Remus should be allowed to have other friends, as should you, Peter and Sirius." she vouched. She had other friends outside of her best friends.
Her head buried further into his body. She was getting sleepier by the moment. Maybe it wasn't sleep she was feeling. Lily was comfortable in James' arms. Yeah, Lily Evans was comfortable in James Potter's arms. Not exactly a sentence one would hear earlier on in their Hogwarts career. She was just about to drift off to sleep when she heard, “I want you to sleep with me,” What?! She shot up, partially because James did and partially because she was shocked. Oh, he was way in over his head if he thought - she let him explain himself. She nodded slowly. She understood what James was saying, but he didn't exactly word it right.
Her green eyes bored into his as he explained the more innocent meaning to what he said. She couldn't surpass the grin that crossed her face when she saw a pinkish tone to James' teeth. One crossed her face when he continued on. She looked down, trying to hide it. Lily sat upright when James got off the couch. She rubbed at her eyes for a second. He looked like he was holding something in his hands, but nothing was there. "What are you talking about?" she knew what he was talking about. She just didn't know what he was holding.
As he threw his arms around, he disappeared. Lily's facial expression was completely bewildered. She opened her mouth to say something, but no words were audible. She looked around, thinking he was going to pop out from nowhere and scare the living daylights out of her. She felt something run against her leg. Involuntarily, she brought her legs up to her chest, her arms wrapped around them as if she were a small child who was afraid of the monster under the bed - or, in this case, the man underneath the cloak.
She heard his voice call her Evans. She didn't know where it came from. She bit her lip, her legs relaxing and stretching out again. She didn't answer, Lily was still mulling the idea over. When she felt his hand encircle her ankle, she looked down at her ankle. Then it disappeared. She listened to him as he spoke. "A Potter made it? That explains it. she teased. That would explain why he had it. Then she saw his head and felt his lips against her own. It was a nice feeling. She pulled back, and she answered his question. "It might," she trailed off, "but, what have I got to lose?" she smiled at James. To be honest, she wasn't at all sure about this, but James had always gotten away with breaking the rules. Maybe if she was with him she would get away with it too? Still, it didn't ease her nerves. with a taste of a poison paradise i'm addicted to you; don’t you know that you’re toxic -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WORDS: 642 OUTFIT: hmph, well this is a nifty little link NOTES: lalalaaa CREDITS: marmarizzle on CAUTION 2.0

• THIS PART OF ME • YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THIS PART OF ME I'LL NEVER SHOW - - - - - - - - - - - - James nodded slowly, trying to accept the fact that Remus may like spending time with Frank, a lot of time. How long had this friendship been growing? How come Frank never mentioned what he and Remus did all the time? Why did James feel like he hardly knew the two? What if Remus one day choose Frank over them? James shuttered, he could feel his blood starting to boil underneath his skin. He would need to talk to Remus and Frank. He thought he could just tear Remus away from them? Well Frank had another thing coming to him, or did Remus think he could just add Frank into the Marauders. Then it would be the Frank and the Marauders or the Marauders and Frank. How ridiculously insane did that sound? It looked like Sirius and James had a date with the Marauders map. They would have to go find what the hell the two were up to, and why. James hated this new feeling, he couldn’t even quite place it. What was it exactly? Then he realized what it was, the same gut hatred feeling he felt when Lily paid more attention to Snivey, then him. It was jealousy. James snorted under his breath, trying to relax when Lily spoke. “Yeah, well. We’ll just see,”
He couldn’t help but let the embarrassment show, his quick explanation wasn’t fast enough to kill the expression that crossed Lily’s face. Soon enough the cloak did all the talking and Lily lost that stupidity of thought. He smirked, she was going to do it? Lily Evans was going to break about a dozen school rules. His heart was pounding again, he just re-fell in love with her. “Really?” James asked, shocked didn’t even describe it. He continued to wonder, if it wasn’t so cold outside he had just the spot for them, but considering it was near freezing tonight he would have to settle in making this spot comfortable. James got up from the couch, pulling the nearby ataman towards them. He shrugged out of his sweatshirt and then his regular black t-shirt, so he was left standing in his white under shirt. He tucked the clothes underneath the couch, he laid sideways, his head laid on the arm of the couch and his legs went off the side onto the ataman. This left the rest of the couch for Lily to stretch out on, it also left her enough room for comfort, especially after his last comment. He smiled softly, leaning his head into the fluff of the arm of the couch. He couldn’t help but already feel ten times comfier with Lily near. He held the cloak in the other hand. It would just look like they were slobs leaving everything out. James wasn’t particular worried about getting caught, who cared these days honestly? The cloak usually fit all four boys to sneak out to the womping willow, he knew it would stretch the length of the couch. James left his arm stretched out along the top, Merlin knew he wished Lily would lay with her head against him. He wasn’t going to voice anything, dam his mishap comment. He yawned, removing his glasses once more setting them next to the side table. He then ruffled the back of his hair.
He would have the best night of sleep, ever known to the wizarding world. James leaned back his eyes shutting slowly before turning to meet Lily’s. He pulled the cloak over his side of the couch covering his half, holding the other side for Lily ready for her. He let his side drape over the table so it would cover his glasses as well. James turned back to Lily, smiling. “Sorry, looks like it may be a little cramped, that okay with you?” James half mocked with a wink. She knew he didn’t mind being close to her, he had to be careful about the other way around. The last thing he wanted to do was send Lily Evans packing back to her bedroom.

WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS I’M ON A RIDEYOU'RE TOXIC, BOY I’M SLIPPING UNDER Lily bit her lip when James snorted. He definitely would not take this that well. She always thought he was a spoiled brat. He sure had his moments, but it seemed like he was growing out of it. Slowly, but surely. Lily knew what he was going through. Whenever the girls had decided to throw Alice into their posse, Lily had to get over it. She had never liked Alice that much, but ever since Alice came into their posse, Lily had to adapt to her. She could relate to what James was going through. She would have to try to not take sides though. Frank was her rock, her best guy friend; but she loved James with all of her heart. The situation was going to be stressful for her, for sure. She threw her hand out to wriggle through his; she squeezed it, "Please don't do anything you'll regret or that's too severe," She knew James. It was a possibility.
A faint blush covered her cheeks when he looked shocked, "Y-Yeah," she stammered, still second-guessing herself, "I mean, there's not much to lose, right?" Plus, she thought, not daring to say it out loud, I may get some more respect from you... She loved James, but she had felt intimidated when he seemed so carefree with the rules and whatnot. She had not been like that since she first got the title as a prefect. She sat up when he got off of the couch. She blushed when he started to change in front of her. She got up from the couch, taking off her sweater as she went off to her dorm room. She would have changed out there - maybe - but all of her clothes had been put away in her room earlier in the morning. She pulled out some of her green pajama shorts and slipped them on. She left her black tank top on, but took off her lily necklace and placed it on her dresser.
She came back out of the dorm, sleep instantly covering her. She smiled at him as she sat down next to where he was lying down. He held a cloak in his hand, that cloak would save them had they been caught. Why was she so worried about getting caught. Her head was next to his chest, but she moved it to where she was closer. The worry was slowly disappearing the closer she got to James. She felt like she was practically on top of him, when in reality, she was just pressed up against him. Lily did not feel awkward about it, it almost felt natural? The feeling was foreign, but there was no doubt that it was completely welcome in every way.
Her arm curled around his torso possessively. This was the most comfortable way to sleep ever. She was not asleep yet, but she felt like she would fall asleep at any moment. She didn't want to. Now that she felt she could have a conversation with James, she wanted to make the most of this situation. What if she woke up and he was rude and an arrogant arse again? Her other hand reached up and grabbed the rest of the cloak, pulling it over past her. She squeezed even closer - was it possible? - next to James; she felt as though the cloak was not covering her fully. Well, at least, that was her excuse. "It's perfectly fine for me," She looked up at him through her long eyelashes and a small smile crossed her mouth. with a taste of a poison paradise i'm addicted to you; don’t you know that you’re toxic -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------WORDS: 596 OUTFIT: had to change it up! NOTES: Aww! • THIS PART OF ME • YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THIS PART OF ME I'LL NEVER SHOW - - - - - - - - - - - - James only nodded to Lily’s advice. He couldn’t promise her anything, between Sirius and himself they would figure out what to do about this Frank character. Well he still owed Frank, but he really didn’t owe Frank a new best friend. He was thinking of more tips of how to pretend he was a bad guy to woo Logan. Logan was the new Lily, although she had classified Frank into the friend zone, that was almost worse then being the others deepest hatred, wasn’t it? Eh. It was all a blur now anyways, he couldn’t think about the past when the present was so dam good. James watched as Lily left, he sighed quietly had he really scared her off that early. James had shifted but before he knew it she was already back out changed, into…shorts, and a tank top that curved around her figure so carefully. James had to think about other things to keep his mind occupied. About Quidditch, yes Quidditch the first game of the season was coming up. Lily had made herself comfortable against him and he had no complaints. He swallowed hard, that wasn’t very fair. Girls were able to sleep in small shorts and tanks and guys slept in their boxers. Well Lily got her shorts and tank, but if James were to kick off the jeans, the world would end.
He was not going to voice this however, Merlin knew if he hadn’t even seen this much skin from Lily Evans and he wasn’t about to lose it. He let the cloak fall and didn’t even mind to double check that they were all the way under. The body heat was enough to keep them warm, the fire also blazing was producing a small heat wave. He pulled her closer to him, she was basically on top of him, so he had to be careful about everything. Every move, every thought. He swallowed hard once more before leaning his head back against the pillow. She mumbled that this was fine with her. He smirked, relaxing. “Couldn’t agree more Lily,” He replied. He felt her arm wrap around him possessively. To say that wasn’t the best feeling in the world would be the worst most horrible lie in the entire world. He pulled one arm up leaving it on the small of her back. The two were never going to be heard of again, James was positive he would never let Lily leave this position. He met those beautiful green eyes staring past long lashes, he grinned. She was not hot, she was not even beautiful. She was stunning, radiant, she was more than words could describe, she was Lily Evans. And she, was lying in his arms.
James played with a bit of her hair, it was an excuse just to feel more of her. He leaned his head back into the cushion. He slipped his empty hand out of the cloak to pick up his wand. He slowly dimmed the lights and even smoldered half of the fire. The room darkened, his eyes were now completely blind, but his body told a story that couldn’t be seen. He felt like this was the perfect spot. Nothing could go wrong, this was completely flawless. “I love you Lily,” James muttered, his drunken heavy eyelids falling. He couldn’t help but drift quickly. It had been an early, hard, amusing, surprising, drop dead shocking day. He was far from gone within minutes. Though it wasn’t the perfect deep sleep, which everyone wished for. This was a light restless sleep. One filled with dreams, horrible, dreams. James eyelids twitched as it moved along with the dream. He was sitting in the hospital, next to his elder mother. She laid grasping his hand, he didn’t want to leave her. He was scared; he was scared for Death to meet him, to greet him with open arms. James stirred softly before falling back into dream land.
James stood at the door, he could see Doctors rushing around her. They were pulling cords, trying to revive her. James stood grasping the door frame. Sirius was still sitting back in the waiting room. The moment James saw nurses running around he went sprinting to her room. He left it to the doctors to call his father. His heart was racing, he could hear his sickly mum’s coughs, the liquid was filling her lungs again. She wasn’t going to make it through this one. She wasn’t. ‘James’ her voice called. ‘Help me’ James wrists tightened, he couldn’t help her. He wasn’t a doctor what could he do for her. ‘Help me,’ she called again. James was now walking back with Sirius just like every day. They had been visiting the local gathering place where Sirius was to find new girls to flirt with. He could see his father standing in the doorway, his frame bent in half. James went running, he wouldn’t stop. The distance seemed forever. He needed to find out for himself, James hopped up the steps just in time to watch his father drop the single sheet of paper that declared his mother had left them. ‘No,’ James was in denial, he turned around and passed Sirius sprinting against the wind, he would never accept that.
The scene changed, James stopped running to see a hooded figure standing, wand raised, Remus mangled pre werewolf form dangling in the air. Sirius was screaming something at the figure, James couldn’t make it out. James ran to them, shouting also at the figure. Remus turned to the two best friends. ‘Help me,’ He mumbled. James blood ran to a stop as he watched the figure raise the wand and send Remus flying to the ground. Sirius stood turned towards the figure raising his wand. Within moments Sirius was flying through the air. James reached for his wand, but there was no wand. Nothing existed in his pocket. Panic filled him. He turned back to see Remus and Sirius trying to help each other stand. His heart racing his pulse rushing, he turned back to them. They were both seriously injured. ‘Help us,’ James paniced, he didn’t know what to do. Just as he turned back to the figure, it’s wand was pointing at him. James felt a gush of air as he went soaring through the air.
James fell against a cabinet. The scene had changed again. He quickly looked around. Another figure stood before a screaming young woman. James rubbed the back of his head as if he had slammed into the cabinet. He tried to sit up, to see what this thing was doing to the young woman who was constantly screaming. Another wand wave and the woman was screaming even more. ‘James, help me,’ the voice. His name, James jumped to his feet. It was Lily. His Lily. This thing was hurting her. He pushed his way past the clutter of random objects to grab the figure. His fingers fell through him as if the figure was a ghost. Hazel orbs turned to see his beautiful red head sprawled on the ground, beasts biting at her, the beasts illuminating from the wand of the figure. He grabbed for his wand, yet it was missing once again. ‘Help me,’ She cried. His voice cracked, ‘Stop, stop!’ he shouted as loudly as he could. The figure grinned before snapping his fingers. His mother, Remus, Sirius, Lily…all vanished. James fell to his knees grasping the ends of his hair. The figure stood, grinning, he poked him in the shoulder before pushing James over. Death. Death was not his friend, it took people away.
James shot up on the couch, his head was dripping sweat, his veins were constricted and he felt as if though he could burst out into tears. How long had it been? Hours, minutes, seconds? His heart was racing, the emptiness, the cold, the hurt was still so fresh. The pleads of those he loved and cherished was still fresh. His chest bumped up and down as he tried to regain what he had lost. Death, he hated death. James felt his eyes stinging with cold wet tears. He bit down on his tongue, he forbade himself from crying. His arms were in pain, it was if he had just ran a marathon and the adrenaline was still pulsing from him. He outstretched a hand to feel his wand, which was one thing he wasn’t missing. He sighed in relief, dreams. They were either a man’s best friend, or their worst nightmare. He sighed once more pushing his head back into the fluff of the couch in an attempt to relax himself. Talk about a boggart that was about the worst thing he had ever witnessed in his life.

WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS I’M ON A RIDEYOU'RE TOXIC, BOY I’M SLIPPING UNDER James was worrying her. If he got into trouble, she would have to talk to him about it. She really wished James would relax and let his friends have their own lives. The only thing Lily could think of doing now was just forget about it. Yes, she supposed she could do that... She pulled out of her thoughts when he played with her hair. She was lulled into her slumber not too long after she got comfortable. Her arms uncurled from his torso, one laying across his stomach. It was perfect. She fell asleep with a smile on her face. That smile and happiness would linger into her dreams as well.
Lily Evans never remembered her dreams. She did not know why, but she never did. Great dreams, awful dreams - it didn't matter. Neither were ever remembered by her. She did dream though. This dream in particular was one she would love to remember. The image changed from nothingness into a bright and vivid image. It took a while to refocus. Even then, she could barely tell what it was. Lily could barely make out a location. It looked like how a Muggle church. She had not been to one since she was a little girl, and she did not remember a lot about them. She perceived it to be one from the books she had been reading.
There was some action going on, people were bustling around. She could not make out what it was. There was some fancy decorations as well. The event looked formal, because most people were dressed up in suits and gowns. James was there, as were Sirius, Remus and Peter. She also saw Natalie, Alice, Frank, and Emmeline. She did not see herself though. Was Lily even at this place? She did not see herself anywhere. Did she die? That would be the worst case scenario. No, she did not die. Lily was just in the other room. Yeah, that was it. Lily Meredith Evans was not dead. She was just preoccupied somewhere else.
Lily snapped out of her dream. Or, more likely, her unconsciousness. When James had shot up, Lily was glad her arms had been loosened on him; otherwise, she would have fallen right off the couch. The cloak had fallen off of him and for the most part was over Lily. She reached her hand up and took it off quickly. Something was wrong, she could tell by his body language. She looked at James and saw a bit of moisture in his eyes. He must have had a bad dream, "James?" she asked, "James, what's wrong?" she repeated. She sat up so she was directly next to him. Her arm had found its way to be wrapped around his arm, and her hand grasped his, her thumb grazing over his soothingly. She looked at him with her deep, green eyes full of concern. She did not like to him James upset. • THIS PART OF ME • YOU'LL NEVER KNOW THIS PART OF ME I'LL NEVER SHOW - - - - - - - - - - - - James sat slowly breathing, or was it that he was reminding himself that he had to breath to live. His stomach flattened when he felt Lily’s arm wrap around his, he let a low sigh of shovel it’s way between his teeth. He felt like an idiot, the first night that he won Lily’s affection, he was now having a childish nightmare and waking her up. James watched as she sat up straight, concerned was what he gathered from her. It felt…nice. Someone that was there, it was almost like a mother who was ready to make you talk about your bad dream so you didn’t re dream it. But better, because Mom’s could only do so much. People like Lily, had a way of making it disappear completely or at least the attempt said something. James forced a soft smile onto his face. “I’m sorry for waking you,” He replied quietly. His voice was hoarse, apparently the dream had taken more out of him then he thought. He slowly sat back up pulling his head from the back of the couch. He still felt rather unstable. He turned back to the table to make sure his wand was still lying present. He had a feeling he was going to have the small piece of wood with him at all times. It was like a warning.
He brought both hands up wiping his eyes, then brushing the sweat from his forehead with the opposite forearm. He let it drop to his side. He turned back to look at Lily. The distant screaming was still so fresh in his mind, it still ached. What was that spell? What were those beasts? What did the death want with Lily? Was it all a warning, or just his subconscious playing a dirty rotten trick on him. He could still feel his heart beating and he was pretty sure he’d never had such a bad dream in his entire life. He looked back to Lily, finally outstretching an arm and wrapping it around her, hugging her gently. It was a dream though, nothing had harmed Lily. Nothing had harmed Remus, or Sirius. His mum, well at least he wasn’t there to witness it. But if that was how it happened, he felt even worse not knowing how she left the world. He had just sent an owl to his father this morning; did he really want to bother him again? He was bound to be trying to repair himself, and James kept reminding him of their loss. His grip on Lily loosened to an extent before swallowing hard. He would let the ball in his throat out. He didn’t cry, and he wouldn’t dare dream of it in front of Lily. “A horrific nightmare,” James answered finally.
He looked back to Lily, his grip regaining it’s once had power. He couldn’t help but feel like these were all warnings. Was it something he would bring upon all them? He had no idea, but he sure knew he wanted to figure it out before any of it came true. He wasn’t sure what had caused such a bad dream after an amazing night. Was it because it was far to amazing? He couldn’t be sure. He only knew if he were to have another nightmare like that, he would go insane. “My friend Death paid a visit,” James replied trying to keep from thinking of exactly what that meant. Death had haunted him every moment since he left his father’s side. Inside his house was dripping with their unwanted guest’s presence. James hadn’t paid particularly close attention to where his dreams placed two out of the three scenes. Maybe he should have. James closed his eyes trying to re envision what he saw. He heard the screams of Lily and shuttered opening his eyes quickly. He couldn’t do that to himself.
His thoughts drifted to Remus and Sirius, where were they right now? Could they be facing danger? His nerves were getting the best of him. He brought his other hand back to his forehead, rubbing his temples. He needed to separate dream and reality and the fact that it wasn’t even specifically a warning. It could just be James getting rid of his worst fears in a dream rather than having to say them out loud. He was going to pay closer attention to where he placed his wand though. “Take your boggart, then times it by twelve, then live in it. That was about my dream,” James finished trying force another smile onto his face, yet it wasn’t forming. The screams echoed in the back of his mind and he was pretty sure they weren’t going to fade. All four of them cried for help, all three scenes in which he could do nothing but watch. James heart ached for the dream versions of his mother, his friends, and his love. He couldn’t explain to Lily if he tried how badly this hurt. It felt like getting hit with an incendio cast with nothing but a piece of wood to stop the burn. “But it was just a dream,” James finished kissing Lily on the forehead. His eyes looking away quickly, it was the same eyes he saw lying on the ground, begging for his help. He gulped hard, there was that liquid again, forming in the corner of his eyes.

WITH THE TASTE OF YOUR LIPS I’M ON A RIDEYOU'RE TOXIC, BOY I’M SLIPPING UNDER Lily's green eyes were full of concern and love. What was troubling James so much that he was writhing around in his sleep? Her thumb kept on rubbing circles on the back of his hand as soothingly as she could. She had no intention on making it stop. Her mother used to do the same to her when Lily was a little girl and had a bad dream; it had always calmed her down enough to where she would stop crying enough to tell her mother what had happened. She shook her head when he apologized for waking her up, strands of hair falling over her shoulder, "Don't worry about it," she assured. She did not mind being woken up right now. With James in this state, she was glad she was lying here with him and woke up when he did. There was no telling what would have happened if she did not. "I suppose it's a good thing you convinced me to stay down here with you?" she joked. Truth was, it was not a joke. It was a very good thing. Lily put her head next to his arm, softly laying it down there. Her arm was still wrapped through his, as was her hand.
To say her heart broke when she saw him wipe the tears out of his eyes was a severe understatement. She was not sure how she was handling it at the moment. Her eyes looked straight into his hazel ones. It was as if she was reading him completely. She could tell that the dream was most definitely an unpleasant one. He hugged her gently, and she hugged back. Lily wanted that dream to go die and never be reincarnated or come back. She knew she just had to let him see that she was here and completely safe. His grip loosened, but hers did not. She never wanted to let him go. She heard him answer, and it sounded like she had imagined it. She was just used to the silence that was there, but it was not an uncomfortable silence either. "I'm sorry," she apologized, knowing full and well that it was not her fault. Irregardless, it still did not null the apology.
A sad smile graced her mouth as he tightened his grip on her. She scooted even closer than she was to him. Her eyebrows furrowed when he said that Death visited. The frown was still in place, mind you. "How awful..." she mused, her voice trailing off. She could not imagine things like that. Well, she could, but she did not want to. What would you say to that? Lily did not know, so she settled with hugging him tighter to her, still rubbing circles on his hand. When he suggested she multiplied her boggart, she shuddered visibly. "I'll pass, thanks," she replied. That was awful. She did not even want to think of that. She brought his hand up and kissing it lightly. "Right," she replied when he kissed her forehead. When he speedily looked away, she grew confused. She knew that James loved her eyes. Why wasn't he looking at them or her?
She thought of her mother at the moment. Weird? You bet, but she was thinking about a memory when Lily was about three and had woken up screaming and in tears from her dream. "Do you want to talk about it?" she asked abruptly, "I know it sounds a bit of a daft idea," she explained herself, "but when I was a little girl and I had a bad dream, my mum always sat down and talked about it with me." she continued. "It always made me feel better." She offered the idea. She wanted to make James feel better, and the idea had popped into her mind. Not to mention, when someone had woken up from a bad dream, the majority of them did not want to fall immediately back to sleep in fear of having the same dream.
