Phaedra said adding it to a pile. The Muggle related crimes were small still, only three now, but the very fact they were happening was no coincidence. it wouldn't be long before muggles were targeted for sport and not just witnesses to the murder of wizards. "Victims were a muggleborn woman and her brother - Penny and Darren Lipids," she said. [/blockquote][/ul]

WHEN YOU'RE AT THE END OF THE ROAD & YOU LOST ALL SENSE OF CONTROL ,& your thoughts have taken their toll , --------------------------------------------------------------------- Frank appeared outside the ministry of magic. He was severely pissed off. He was teamed with the one and only James Potter. Not to mention they were still on rocky edges from the whole Remus dealio, now there were other distractions as well. A tall red head distraction. They were so close to nabbing Lucius, then of course. He escaped. And why? Because James saw something in the window that reminded him of Lily. Frank loved Lily, he would do anything for her but not as much as James. And James had it bad, if he heard her name one more time he was going to slam his fist into Potter’s face faster than he could stammer ring again. Was he happy that James was going to propose to Lily? Sure, he was ecstatic. Fortunately, Frank heard how much he rambled about her to know the bloke was never going to cheat on her. That was good enough for Frank, he could care less where they decided to honeymoon or whatever. What mattered was their current mission. Which was to nab Malfoy. It was said that Malfoy was currently using the Cursebreaker methods to benefits the Dark Lord.
It wasn’t hard to figure out where people’s allegiances laid. Every once in a while there was a rouge Slytherin that showed up to the Order meetings or as an Auror. Then the even rarer occasion of a Hufflepuff that joined the Deatheaters. He had gathered some notes though. It seemed that Malfoy enjoyed meeting a current Slytherin Student at the Three Broomsticks. It also seemed that he worked in a green cloak which he usually used to conceal his face. They followed him into Knockturn Alley, where James just so happened to be reminded of Lily by a single leather bound book sitting in the window. Frank quickly took the elevator up. He held a stack of messy file folders under his arm. His Ramones shirt was torn in three places and his jeans were dirty from the fireplace. Mishaps with the Floo and aparation in the same day. It wasn’t his day. He hurried into the office feeling the files slip through his arm and dump on the ground. He let a small growl of frustration out as he heard someone talking about a muggleborn. His head whipped up to see Phae.
She was one of those rare exceptions. She was sitting in the Auror office with a bunch of order members and she was definitely a past Slytherin. He noticed the expression on her face and chuckled. It seemed her day was just as satisfying as his. “Don’t you dare complain about that report Ms. Dionysius” Frank let the files fall onto his desk. He rubbed the navy blue sleeve against his forehead before letting out a sigh. He picked up the red file that contained the information about Lucius. His fellow student, was now towards the top of the wanted list. There was a heavy price on his head if he was found. Apparently he was vital to the Dark Lord. Therefore the Order/Aurors wanted him. Frank slid the red folder in hand turning to Phae. He threw his head back and laughed for a second. ”So get this, we almost nabbed Malfoy today, then Potter went all crazy because something reminded him of Lily,” Frank rolled his eyes tossing the red file onto the desk. He yawned before rubbing the back of his head. He was worn out, and he wasn’t quite sure how much more Potter’s proposals he could take. He loved Lily, he really liked James, but that didn’t mean he had to like James now.
Frank turned back to look at Phae flashing her a smile. ”You could have been crawling around Knockturn Alley, with a love dazed Potter hunting out a prissy Malfoy.” It was true they had no idea where Malfoy resided. But they knew he visited Hogsmeade every time he appeared on radar. Frank’s eyes searched the folder before looking back towards Phae. ”Something has to be important if he keeps risking his neck, hm?” Frank turned his head so his neck would crack once, then twice. He then looked back to Phae. He knew he was on a rampage. He got like this every once in a while. He spent so much time on his missions, when they failed he felt pathetic. This was Malfoy though, and they were only first year Aurors. They still had a lot to learn.

EMMELINE STEPHANIE VANCE YOU THINK YOU'RE READY OKAY THEN YOU SAY THIS WITH ME GO WE WERE BORN FOR THIS Emmeline was in the Auror Headquaters, having just got back from a mission. Being muggleborn she had no trouble blending in with the muggle world, so it was often her job to go on rescue, spy and information gathering missions in the world of technology rather than magic. It was for this reason that she was sitting in her cubicle in jeans, a sweater and army boots rather than wizard's robes. To tell the truth Emmeline felt more comfortable in muggle clothes, and she didn't mind the strange looks people gave her when she was in them.
The brunette got to her feet and walked out of her cubicle to the main office to see if there was any new information on Death Eaters, this was a routine check she did every fifteen or twenty minutes, at least, on those rare times when she was in the office long enough. Usually she was out on the field, this was a time of war, and between her Auror and Order of the Phoenix duties she barely had time to eat and sleep, let alone put her feet up.
She was just in time to hear Phaedra, an Auror she didn't entirely trust (due to the fact that Phaedra was a former Slytherin and that was something Emmeline wasn't about to forget), give her report on a a muggle born and her brother who had been killed, with many muggles witnessing the deaths. "Have their memories been modified?" She asked, all business. These kinds of things were something Em took far more seriously than most people, because if muggleborns were being killed it was only a matter of time before all muggles were.
Once Phaedra had thrown the file down Emmeline snatched it up, and began flipping through it, growing angrier by the minute. "I want this case," She said to no one in particular. In her head she was already taking all the information from the file and putting it in order, trying to make sense of it, look for patterns of previous killings, specific signatures, and how she would track them down. She would start with the muggles, find out everything they knew, then modify their memories. It wouldn't be hard, she had done it many times before, and there was nothing to it.
It was then that Frank, one of Emmeline's school friends, walked in, looking dismal. She listened to him recount what had happened on his mission to nab Lucius Malfoy, a suspected Death Eater, and sighed in frustration. "Of course Potter messed up," She said, leave it to James Potter to screw everything up for the Aurors. "And Frank, the reason you are working with him is because the rest of us would have to stop ourselves from hexing him." Emmeline knew that if she were working with James she would have lost it long ago and hexed him as a warning to never screw up again.
But a few moments later she was all business again. "So we have to figure out what's so important to him," She said, running her hands through her brown curls. "It won't be money, he's got enough of that. It's also unlikely that he's being sent 0n the same mission to the same place, that would be too obvious, unless it's meant to be a diversion." She kept racking her brains for a possible thing that Lucius Malfoy could be attached to. "Could it be a person?" That was a long shot, not that was more, that was impossible. "Never mind, this is Malfoy we're talking about." Emmeline had gone to school with the bastard, he did not attach himself to people. He just broke the hearts of stupid girls, and that was that.
