friends Don is a super lovable guy. he loves to party and hang out with people, so he should probable have a nice group of friends. of course, he could always be friends with other professors and whatnot as well. I'm really up for anything. Don's got a great sense of humor and can usually hold his liquor pretty well. plus, he's a former Gryffindor, so any other former Gryffindors would probably like him.

lovers king of flings? I do believe so. you could call him a bit of a manwhore, but that's not exactly the case. he just has trouble saying no. a lot of times, women need those one night stands to boost their self esteem, so he doesn't mind giving them a night's worth. however, he won't give them any promises. he's never slept with a girl he loves. Callista, though, she's something. he really cares for her, but it's just a fatherly love for the moment. that may or may not develop in the future. I think Don needs an on/off girlfriend to throw in for conflict. any takers?

[/b] seeing as Don is the king of flings, there are probably many women who regret sleeping with him. there's a great opening for enemies there. plus, I'm sure former Slytherins aren't fond of him, considering he's a Gryffindor. not a friend of Death Eaters either. he's half-blood. so there are plenty of oppurtunities for hatred towards Adonis.

I think that Don would be very very cautious of Nimue, since he is aware that she's Callista's best friend. He would be afraid that she would find out about their secret romance. I like the idea of them having friends that party together. Maybe even at some point they would have partied together. I think it'd be interesting if she confronted him at some point and told him flat out, "You hurt women, and if you hurt my best friend, you're secret's out." Serious blackmail. Fo realz.

Adonis notices her struggling with the spells/practical part of the subject and picks on her during lessons? She won't be outwardly upset, just try doubly hard and fail miserably again. Idk? And then he offers to help her after lessons? -randomly throws out idea-

I think they might get on surprisingly well, though Liz's a little detached with her feelings and not talk about personal stuff with him despite him asking? I don't want Callista to know about his partying lifestyle, maybe Nimue can enlighten her on that when Liz and Don seem to be getting along better?

And then we have the whole Dawlish subplot. But...! Lemme know what you think before I continue rambling on.

I like the idea of her being weak and him picking on her, because he's that kind of professor. Kind of like the cool teacher who makes jokes that most other teachers wouldn't make and whatnot. Of course, when he picks on her, he's not being serious, since he's a nice guy. So he offers her tutoring after class (which is totally innocent for now.

Liz seems a bit meek to me, so Don would have a serious soft spot for her. See, he's always having one night stands with obnoxious, outspoken girls. Liz is quiet. He loves shy and quiet girls. But I see him admiring from a distance rather than pouncing on her, since a. he is a teacher and b. he isn't one to pounce. He may get laid a lot, but that's from drunk girls that are asking for it (and not to mention, they're of age).

Don is good at dissecting people. He can tell when there's something wrong, even when it's hidden. I feel like Adonis would, after a few lessons, express his concern for Callista. Not blatantly, but through small talk. "How're you?" "Got a boyfriend?" "Anything exciting going on?" Things of that nature. And, as you pointed out, she's reserved. She's going to continue hiding her issues. So he's going to continue prying, but still very sneakily. He doesn't want to make her feel attacked or anything.

And I would love it if he eventually is able to get into her head and she opened up to him and they fell in love blah blah blah. What else did you have in mind?

SUSAN AND ADONIS: Friends! I can definitely see these two getting along very well. Susan is fun-loving, and party-going just like Adonis. She can hold her liquor well but she doesn't drink a lot because she doesn't like losing control. I could see her trying to help him with his liquor problem.

FAITH AND ADONIS: Faith wouldn't really like Adonis. She's very conscientious when it comes to Lily at Hogwarts so she's checked out all the professors. Considering he likes alcohol a bit too much that would probably worry her because of her past. She is also slightly OCD and very organized; she's very hard to get along with because of that. Perhaps Adonis could think she's overbearing and overprotective. Maybe once they actually sit down and have a conversation they actually realize there is more to each of them.

I like that. I mean, even if Don is known for having sex with loads of women, it's not so much because he's always chasing them. It's more because he gets them thrown on him, and he's not opposed to it. So I think it'd be great for him to have a close female friend to keep an eye on him. I could see him sort of watching out for her too, like when guys flirt with her and she's clearly not interested, he could fend them off or something. Like a brother or something.

Ah, some parent/professor tension. I enjoy that. I could see him finding Faith extremely domineering. Perhaps the two will schedule a parent teacher meeting, since Faith does show so much concern for Lily learning from him.
