( PERSONALITY ) : Hestia is an extremely composed person, who appears to have herself put together at all times, probably because she makes a great effort to dress well, do her hair, and do her makeup. However, looks can be deceiving. In reality, Hestia can be an extremely shy person, who is pretty insecure. She is friendly, but it is very rare for her to approach a stranger and start a conversation with them. Even with her best friends, she is not extremely talkative, choosing her words wisely. Hestia is a very peaceful person, who prefers to avoid conflict with people, be it her friends, her family, or her teachers. The only person that Hestia fights with willingly is her twin sister, and only because their spats are usually hollow and are resolved within minutes. She won’t hold a grudge, and she tries her best not to judge, giving most people the benefit of the doubt when she can. Unfortunately, this makes her a pushover, and she can be used quite easily. She is extremely forgiving, and even when hurt, tries to make things right with the perpetrator. Fitting in with her quiet personality, Hestia considers herself nothing special, and is extremely modest, convinced that her rare talent with charms is nothing to be excited about.

( HISTORY ) : Hestia Siobhan Jones was born to Annebeth and Tyler Jones on the bright morning of April 28th. Ten minutes after her birth, her twin sister Gwenog Igraine followed. Both baby girls were welcomed into the world by their older sister Sadie Lynn, who was eleven at the time, and their older brother, who was only one year old. Both girls were beautiful additions to the Jones family and completely bewitched their parents. As Hestia and Gwenog grew up, the two girls were inseparable. They did everything together, from playing, to napping, to eating. They dressed the same and liked doing anything as long as they were doing it together. This made life pretty easy for their parents, who knew that the pair would always be looking out for one another. Now sixteen, the two are still protective of one another, and do look out for each other.

However, times change. By the age of six or seven, the two girls started to change. While Gwenog liked to rub her face in dirt and play cricket with the neighborhood boys, Hestia preferred to play dress-up and have tea parties with those boys’ sisters. They were still close, and shared a room (they would continue to share a room throughout their summers between Hogwarts), and loved each other like the sisters and best friends that they were, but they understood that they were becoming different people. Their parents were happy to see some individuality between the pair, as was Sadie, who took care of and babysat the girls during the summers.

The girls started to understand that their sister went to school during the school year, and then started to understand that their sister was a witch and the school she went to was a school of magic. It was confusing at first, and sometimes very difficult for the girls to realize that they may never go to or even see Hogwarts, but their fears were put to rest soon enough. They started showing signs of magic, confirmed by Sadie. Their brother also showed signs, and received his letter exactly one year before they did. When both girls received their letters, they were beyond ecstatic, because it was official confirmation that they were indeed witches. Their muggle parents were overwhelmed by the fact that all four of their wonderful children were magical, but also excited that their two youngest girls would be able to follow in their older siblings footsteps.

The girls weren’t sure how they felt about the sorting ceremony. Though they would be excited to go to any house, they were worried that the sorting hat would place them together. Still best friends, and closer than with anyone else, they still wanted to have a Hogwarts experience all their own. Thankfully, their wishes were fulfilled. Hestia was sorted into Hufflepuff and Gwenog was sorted into Ravenclaw, finally proving to the world that they did have very distinct personalities. The girls saw each other often around the school and did have many classes together, but they enjoyed having their own dormitories and common rooms where they could be considered an individual and not one half of a set of twins.

Hestia loved Hogwarts. She was blown away by the beauty of the castle itself, by the halls and the portraits and the statues, even the Great Hall itself! It wasn’t hard for her to make friends, but it was a slower process. She was a very quiet first year who slowly started to become friends with the girls in her dorm. They loved her ability to put together cute outfits for them, and how she was always very complimentary of them. By the end of her first year, she seemed to have found her nitch. In the years that followed, she started to make more friends, and developed a very nice reputation as a sweet, stylish girl. By the time she became a prefect in her fifth year, she still hadn’t had her first kiss or a boyfriend, and many of her friends were frustrated by this. Hestia completely refused to acknowledge the idea that a boy could be interested in her.

Hestia is now in her sixth year, is a prefect, and an avid supporter of both the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw Quidditch teams. She is still extremely close with her sister Gwenog, and is also very close with her sister Sadie. Both her and Gwenog have been staying at Sadie’s house over the summer since their third year, helping with taking care of Caroline, and just enjoying spending time with their older sister. Hestia, however, is not a fan of her sisters on and off boyfriend, Fenrir Greyback, though she is too afraid to vocalize her opinions. She feels that Sadie can do so much better than him, and that the way he treats her sometimes is completely unacceptable.

How will Hestia’s year go? Will she finally learn what love is? Will she learn to love herself, and get over many of her insecurities? Will she and Sadie stay close, even if she decides to tell her sister about her disapproval of the father of her child? Let’s see…
