003. Subplot

DAVIES and CRESSWELL might as well been high-school sweethearts. They had been together for three years. Then CRESSWELL broke it off because he was "suffocating her". DAVIES was completely upset. What was he to do without his little CRESSWELL? The break-up was nasty. She was yelling as was he. "Give me some space!" "Why?! You like that one Hufflepuff chaser, don't you?" "How dare you accuse me of that!" The two did not end on great terms; however, she did feel like she was obligated to keep a watch on him still. From her observations, she noticed DAVIES started to hang out with a Ravenclaw girl in their year, BELBY. She had never spoken to BELBY before, maybe an 'Excuse me,' in the hallway, but that's it.

BELBY and DAVIES were becoming closer and closer friends. CRESSWELL was becoming a bit jealous. She tried to get over DAVIES, but all of her methods failed miserably. Did she still like DAVIES? Of course! She spent the majority of her Hogwarts life with him, so she'd be a fool to let a great guy like him go. But unfortunately, right after this epiphany of hers, DAVIES and BELBY had become boyfriend and girlfriend. What was she going to do? Barge in and demand his love back? Not after what she said.

BELBY did not know CRESSWELL personally either; however, DAVIES would constantly compare BELBY to CRESSWELL. BELBY got quickly fed up with it and informed DAVIES that this bothered her. DAVIES thought about it and agreed to try and stop for her sake. He knew that he wasn't attracted to her the same way he was to CRESSWELL. He didn't want to break BELBY's heart for she really loved him, but he wanted to be happy in his own way. He did not know what to do, but he kept on seeing CRESSWELL and having random flashbacks to their relationship.

What could these flashbacks mean? Does DAVIES really love CRESSWELL? Will the two get back together? Where will BELBY fall back into this? Is DAVIES going to break it off with BELBY to go return to the woman who he spent the majority of his time with at Hogwarts?
