TAG//ALICE WORDS//970 NOTES//TRAIN<3!
I'M NOT IN LOVE, THIS IS NOT MY HEART I'M NOT GONNA WASTE THESE WORDS ABOUT A GIRL Frank was done hearing about the glorious James Potter finally winning over Lily. It was like hell finally froze over and the world no longer had its evil. James was so wrapped up in Lily he was leaving Sirius to cause all the mayhem which as much as Sirius would like to deny. He couldn’t do it alone. He had already met up with Natalie and couldn’t help but think he couldn’t tell anyone about Alice. He would have to remain keeping it a secret until he exploded. He decided to journey farther than the tower of music, farther then the Gryffindor tower, he wanted to really be out. That’s when he thought of it, his drawing! How silly, he had been denying himself of water color for far too long. Mum hated when he painted at home, she always fussed that he was far too messy when he got into ‘the zone’. Frank passed the courtyard it was already full, the black lake had way to many risks. It was bound to have a Sirius love affair, or prank just waiting to happen.
The pond it was then. It wasn’t as far as Frank had hoped for but it was far enough. Frank dropped the sack onto the ground; he knelt down onto his haunches pulling the different paints from their holder. He displayed several different colors. He pulled five different brushes from the pack spreading them across the grass. He tilted his head to the side. Great, he was now without a canvas. Frank reached back into the pack, he also forgot his water tray. Frank growled in frustration jumping back to his converse. Hazel green eyes turned searching for a canvas. They dropped to the pond. Frank smirked, he quickly made his way towards the pond pulling both converse from his feet, then bending over to roll up the jeans as far as they could go. It wasn’t exactly a warm day, but art deserved sacrifices. Frank dipped one foot into the water, cringing at the temperature. Oh boredom, how it destroyed him from the inside out. Carefully dipping his hands into the pond he pulled several pebbles out. He scrunched his shirt up so it could carry the pebbles, dumping a handful into it.
Frank grabbed three more handfuls of the pebbles before wading out of the pond dumping them next to his water colors. He achieved a water tray and a canvas in one shot. Frank grabbed brush three rubbing the bristles on his hand. It captured just enough water to absorbed the color black. He wasn’t quite sure what he would do when he saw Alice torturing herself with another Slytherin boy. He didn’t voice his opinion to her as he did to everyone else. Actually, he was rather quiet when Alice started talking about the men in her life, considering it was never him. Frank picked up three of the pebbles painting the complete rock black, than throwing them into a line. “If, it’s love,” Frank sang quietly to his own guitar in the background. He had a rather bad habit of being able to picture his own guitar playing quietly in the back of his mind while he painted. He hated singing in front of people, he usually only did it when he was positive no one else was listening. He picked up a few more stones painting them also black. “And we decide that it’s forever,”
Frank threw the pebbles in line with the others grabbing another handful. “No one else could do it better, if it’s love,” He then threw these painted black pebbles into the line. He could feel his hands sloshing with black water color, some had split into the grass above his bare feet, other bits had spilt onto his jeans. Frank paused after throwing the next set of pebbles rubbing under his eye, leaving a nice black paint smudge. “And we’re two birds of a feather, then the rest is just whatever,” Frank picked up another pile of pebbles this time changing brushes and started paint these gray pebbles white. “And if I’m addicted to loving you, and you’re addicted to my love too,” Frank finished these pebbles brushing a small piece of bristle from the rock that landed on his sleeve. “We can be them two birds of a feather, that flock together” Frank finished the last touch of the white rocks tossing them into a separate pile. “Love,Love” Frank started filing all the black rocks in a line forming an oval shape. The black rocks started wide then grew skinnier with a black space shaped as an oval in the middle that lead to a tiny space at the opening of the bottom. “Got to have something to keeps us together,” Frank continued to sing now picking up the white rocks.
“Love, Love,” Frank started piling all the white rocks into the empty space of the oval. He spread them out so they were perfectly outlined. He then made it so the white ended up sharing a small space at the opening with the fellow black rocks. He stood up backing away, his bare feet sloshing in the now wet grass. He rubbed his black and white paint covered hands on his jeans, then running it through his messy brown hair. A large feather laid made out of pebbles among the grass. “That’s enough for me,” Frank quietly finished, pausing to look at the mess. His mum was right, he did get in a zone. Frank laughed quietly to himself until he heard something behind him. Frank twitched. Caught red handed, doing art, singing, barefoot, frolicking by the pond. Frank left the still paint colored hand in his hair. He whistled the tune quietly to pretend he didn’t hear the noise. Pretending worked, right?

Alice used to love having nothing to do. She could just lie on her bed, with the curtains drawn and listen to the various noises going by. Like now, she heard one of her roommates digging through her trunk, telling herself that she was never ever going to misplace that bloody book again. That was never going to happen. Having lived with that other girl for seven years, Alice was only too aware of how forgetful she was. Alice drew her curtains, looked at her dorm mate as she found the book. She gave Alice a wide smile and left the room. The blonde waved at the slowly closing door, before collapsing back to the bed again. She squeezed her eyes shut but all she could see was him. Right. Plan A was officially a bust.
Onto Plan B. What was Plan B anyway? Alice had no idea, but that didn’t stop her from getting out of her bed, taking the black cardigan on the chair next to it and heading out of her room. Skipping steps on her way down (Alice thought that it was a miracle that she never fell and broke her neck.), the blonde peered into the common area. Nope, no familiar brunette head around. Well, she supposed Emmeline Vance couldn’t be around whenever she needed her. Her best friend did have a life outside of her. Alice frowned slightly as she made her way through the common room. Was that Plan B? Nah. Couldn’t be. The blonde left the Gryffindor tower and made a beeline down the various moving stairs, making sure to skip that sinking step. It really was annoying when she was late and didn’t remember to do so. Got a few points deducted from Gryffindor for that.
Making sure not to look at the stairway that would lead her to the dungeons and the Slytherin dorms, Alice stepped out of the castle and into the grounds. Quidditch was out of the question. She’d been spending a little too much time on a broom lately. Her captain wouldn’t mind, except that Alice was doing mindless flying instead of practising the techniques that needed to be learned. No doubt she was going to be shouted at if she failed at their first game. Alice could think of a few choice things to yell back at her captain if that happened. The blonde sighed, crossing her arms and hugging herself as she continued on her unplanned walk through the grounds.
Where the heck was she anyway? The Gryffindor stopped for a while, looking around her for some familiar landmarks. Okay, there was that tree over there… and a little clearing. Oh! A smile appeared, lighting up her entire face. She had somehow found her way near the pond. Alice liked swimming in the pond. Rather the pond than the lake. Ha, who knew, perhaps she might just take an impromptu swim. Yeah, it was cold out and summer was over, but Alice wasn’t the type to think about such trivial matters. Heading towards there quietly, the blonde picked out a voice or two.
She wasn’t looking to sharing the pond. Well, as long as it wasn’t a couple. She thought to herself. The smile on Alice’s face had faded but it reappeared the moment she saw who it was. And what he was doing. Frank Longbottom had apparently decided to paint rocks and pebbles and create something with them. Alice stood behind some bushes, watching silently as her fellow Gryffindor sang to himself. She tried not to giggle, covering her mouth with her hands so as to avoid alerting Frank to her presence. Alice didn’t know why, she just wanted to watch Frank for a while. She hoped she wasn’t turning into a stalker. She couldn’t possibly be, right? When she heard him say that was enough for him, Alice thought that it was a good time to reveal herself. She kicked the bush, making a loud enough sound for him to hear.
Alice giggled when he appeared not to hear. That was a deliberate kick, he had to have heard it. “Now I know you heard me, Longbottom. Don’t ignore me. You don’t want to know what I do to blokes who ignore me.” The blonde said, stepping out into the open. She took a closer look at his creation, the smile remaining on her face. “So, what’s that and who are you making it for?” She asked, pointing at the coloured rocks. “Or did you just forget to print something to paint on?” Alice asked again, looking up at the lanky male and grinning widely at him.

TAG//ALICE WORDS//748 NOTES//Jealous Frankie=<3
I'M NOT IN LOVE, THIS IS NOT MY HEART I'M NOT GONNA WASTE THESE WORDS ABOUT A GIRL “Now I know you heard me, Longbottom. Don’t ignore me. You don’t want to know what I do to blokes who ignore me.” Frank’s arm tightened around the lock of hair he was currently traumatizing. Of all the people to stumble upon him like this, it would be Alice. He dropped his arm turning to face her. “Ignore you? How could I ever ignore you,” Frank replied. Maybe it was the fact he was like this with everyone that it never struck Alice as anything more. He sighed turning back to the feather that was lying in the grass made of stones. Of course it wasn’t anything romantic, that proclaimed his love to her but it was still embarrassing. He was singi-dear merlin. Had she heard him singing? She was Alice, she was a badass Gryffindor flame and future Quidditch star, how would she ever accept him for being a painting, singing, lanky, boy. Certainly wasn’t very badass. No wonder she always went for the Slytherins. He was losing some serious points according to James/Sirius logic. She saw it. His life was officially over. Frank’s shoulders slumped.
“That? That…it’s nothing.” Frank was to say the least slightly defeated. She asked if it was for someone. Oh, if only it was one of his songs, he loved to sing. The tragic hero goes about life ignored by the prettiest girl in school, he then later woo’s her by making some grand presentation and declaring his love for her, she magically then falls in weak in the knees and they burst into some hardcore snogging. Though that was muggle music, and this was a not so muggle world. Frank rubbed the black smudge under his eye again, making it even bigger. “It wasn’t meant for anyone really, just rather bored. Though because you’re here, you can claim it as yours,” Frank replied with a small half smile. Well he pulled that off nicely except for the fact that the gorgeous blonde standing in front of him wouldn’t exactly find a pile of rocks as something she’d always wanted. “It’s a feather,” Frank replied, stating the rather obvious. Frank then realized his converse still laid by the water. He took a glance down and cringed.
Paint, was everywhere. Frank brought the hand that was resting in his hair down to realize it was most likely in his hair as well. He was barefoot, he was the definition of a muggle hippie or homeless. Frank grinned back to Alice, he could try and play it off. “Shoes corrupt the arts.” He stated rolling his shoulders once. She then asked if he had forgotten something to paint on. Franks eyebrows rose at the accusation. “A good artist makes the world his canvas. How was that for being deep?”
Frank replied quirking one brow higher then the other. So, that was a bit cheesy. Who was he kidding, it was the absolute definition of cheese. He wasn’t good at being the badass, he wasn’t mysterious, he said most everything he thought. Frank felt slightly defeated once more before giving a slight nod in the direction of the rocks. “Yeah, I wasn’t quite sure where I was running off to today, I guess I was just excited to get out before realizing the most essential supplies still lay in my trunk.” That’s when it hit him, Alice was hiding behind a bush? Frank’s eyes narrowed back to the bush, he swore to merlin if that was Sirius all hell was going to break loose.
He waited a moment for someone to pop up from behind the bush but no one did. His eyes then turned back to the pond, had she gone swimming with someone. Red painted itself on the tints of his cheeks. Jealousy, he had a real problem with that. It was a good thing he contained it well. Frank cleared his voice moving a bare foot in the wet grass so it made a weird slosh sound before meeting Alice’s grin. Her features were the definition of gorgeous. Frank smiled in return, the red fading from his cheeks. His smile then faded as he remembered she was probably not alone, and he had not only made a fool of himself in front of Alice but most likely someone else. “So,” He began. He turned his back on her bending down, scooping the paints back into the bag. “What are you doing out here?” He finished, throwing a quick glance in her direction.

If someone else had said what Frank said, Alice would have at least retorted back with some wisecrack. She did like compliments and she took that as a form of compliment but she’d learned how to differentiate the ones that were truly meant, and those that weren’t. With Frank, she knew he said what was on his mind most of the time. And he meant them. “Good, I wouldn’t have to jinx you then. Did you see the Ravenclaw who tried to hit on me towards the end of last year? Bloke didn’t know when to give it up.” She didn’t add that towards the end of last year, she was rather pissed off with just about everyone but her own friends. The Ravenclaw had landed in the Hospital Wing after Alice threw a particularly nasty hex she’d picked up from a Slytherin who shall remained unnamed and out of her mind.
Alice giggled when Frank seemed to despair. She couldn’t think of anyone who wanted to be seen in this state of affairs. Paint splattered everywhere; he even had some paint in his hair. Oh, Frankie. She thought, pursing her lips trying not to laugh when the black spot on his face became even more smudged. When he told her she could have it, that was when Alice laughed. “Because everyone could do with some black and white rocks, yeah?” She teased him, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. “You could always leave it here for someone to find. It would be a nice surprise.” Alice said, meaning it. No one expected to find a pile of rocks with a feather in the middle when they came to the pond. Her eyes shifted from the rocks to Frank when he told her it was a feather. Well, she wasn’t exactly blind. “Anything else you want to tell me about your masterpiece?” The blonde asked. To say she wasn’t an artistic person was correct.
The Gryffindor hadn’t even noticed that Frank didn’t have his shoes on. “We can’t have corrupted arts, that just won’t do.” Alice nodded her head, pretending to be serious about it all. “How does your mother deal with all this when you’re at home?” She asked. Augusta Longbottom couldn’t be happy about the mess her son made. But what did Alice know? She wasn’t exactly Mrs Longbottom’s favourite person. “Oh, that’s deep, Frankie. Very deep.” Alice winked at him to let him know that despite her sarcastic tone of voice, she wasn’t making fun of him. Not that much. She shook her head slightly at his explanation. At least he hadn’t decided to paint on the trees… Looking back up at him (Frank was tall!), Alice followed his gaze to where she’d appeared from.
“No one’s hiding there, silly.” Alice told him, figuring out what was on his mind. “And no one’s coming either.” She added. A smile appeared on his face, before fading. The blonde hugged herself again, looking at Frank as he started clearing up. “Nothing in particular.” Alice muttered. “Walking the grounds, clearing my head…” She shrugged, not wanting to say anything more. “You don’t have to stop whatever you’re doing because I’m here. I can leave, if you want?” The blonde turned her head over to look at the clearing. “Or you know, you and me? We could go for a swim.” Her face lit up. “Get all that paint off your hair.” _____________________________________ Word Count 573 Tags Frankie. <3 Template By Arro @ Caution 2.0 Notes Wheeeeeeee.

I'M NOT IN LOVE, THIS IS NOT MY HEART I'M NOT GONNA WASTE THESE WORDS ABOUT A GIRL “Good, I wouldn’t have to jinx you then. Did you see the Ravenclaw who tried to hit on me towards the end of last year? Bloke didn’t know when to give it up.” The poor guy should be used to it by now, but every time Alice repeated a guy that had either hit on her or was with her, he mentally cringed. He hated to be so bland but at least this so called bloke had more balls then he ever would have. But this was why Frank was so scared to try anything, what if he turned to be the bloke he never gave up. What if he was the next Potter? Now that was cringe worthy.
Rejected.Rejected.Rejected. James was much stronger then Frank, Frank couldn’t handle that much rejection in a month, week, day, hour. He turned as she kindly criticized the cheesed over comment about rocks. Frank mocked being offended holding his left hand against his chest. The black paint now smearing across the brown leather and white shirt. Augusta would have slapped him right about now. “Black and white rocks are in, Brown and gray, not so much. Better get on your game Alice because this rock fashion is to die for.” Frank replied. The sarcasm was so heavy Frank thought he may need a stick to prop his lips up with. The sarcasm simply rolled off the tongue for him. This was why he would always remain in the friend zone. He sighed once more. His shoulders raised as she said to leave it, it would be a nice surprise for someone else passing by. Frank placed a hand under his chin contemplating this idea. She was right, share the arts. Maybe one day wizards would appreciate something about muggles. “Yeah, then certain Slytherins walk by and mess the lot up,” It wasn’t that Frank hated all Slytherins. He just hated most male Slytherins, one in particular as of late. Alice then asked if he had anything else he wanted to share. Frank placed his hands in a square, capturing the rocks in his ‘focus’. He backed a few paces up turning to the side.
“In fact yes, if you tilt your head like this,” Frank tilted towards the left, bending the right knee so he was in a rather awkward position. “It says, Alice doesn’t care about rocks.” Frank turned wriggling both eyebrows before smirking. “Just that good,” Frank replied brushing his hands together. Man, Natalie was starting to rub off on him. He was starting to get really good at this. Frank paused when Alice brought up his mother, the left side of his lip fell so air could pass through. He looked around at the all the mess. “She doesn’t approve of art and messes. Actually she doesn’t approve of half of the things I do or say. The best thing that happened in her life was when I told her I refused to join Quidditch. Since then, just disappointment.” Frank shrugged, his mother wasn’t exactly the easiest to get along with, or live with and Alice knew that for sure. Frank mocked a bow as Alice said that it was in fact deep. He noticed the small wink and attempted to not let the butterflies in his stomach fly away. The corners of her lips just barely moved when she winked. Was it weird that he was in love with the way her lips moved? He couldn’t have drawn himself a better looking partner. Although he would definitely make some adjustments on his own body. The poor guy had height going for him, but when it comes down to muscle, he has absolutely nothing. A six pack never hurt a stick figure before. Frank sighed with relief when Alice cleared up his jealousy factor. No one was there, and no one was coming. Those were very beautiful words, and they came straight from an angel.
He nodded as she explained she was simply exploring. She didn’t need a purpose she was welcomed to wander around, it was odd she didn’t have her little Gryffindor power team though. He shrugged once more as she then told him not to stop what he was doing, then offered to leave. Frank froze. Leave, she couldn’t do that. He would follow her, which would be completely insane. He couldn’t move, couldn’t think. Any song that came to mind the hero shouted NO, then professed his deep desire involving the heroine. Frank couldn’t think of words, luckily Alice had. “Or you know, you and me? We could go for a swim.” dear merlin. She was a siren and he was a ship that was sinking faster than he could try to find the crew. You and me, they were simple marvelous miraculous words. “Get all that paint off your hair.” Well it was a nice dream and a nice thought. Though this still worked out. Frank pulled at the paint filled locks of hair before nodding. “Yeah I could go for a swim,” Frank looked back towards the pound. It was absolutely freezing and that was just when he was up to his ankles. That’s when it hit him. Were they swimming in their clothes? He couldn’t possibly get his leather jacket wet, that would be a catastrophe waiting to happen. But they would freeze without their clothes. Frank turned back towards Alice. He wriggled his eyebrows in attempt to lighten the small amount of silence that followed his first comment. “And, what may I ask did you suggest we swim in? We didn’t exactly have sport wear handy. Besides…it’s a tad chilly.” Frank didn’t want to lose the chance at swimming with the girl of his dreams. Though it was definitely sounding that way, would she suggest the unthinkable. No, he was officially caught between dreamland and reality. He didn’t exactly have a Sirius Black or James Potter, not even a Regulus Black body. He had a, ‘Hi, I study, chat with girls, draw, sing, and quirk my eyebrows when I run out of facial expression. How can I help you’ kind of body.

Alice didn’t know why she always told Frank about the boys who asked her out on dates. Maybe she was trying to make him jealous. If she was, it wasn’t working very well. Frank never had anything much to say when she mentioned boys or her current boyfriends. Most likely because they were in Slytherin and Gryffindors and Slytherins never did get along well. Alice looked at Frank, with his paint splattered hair and with his next action, shirt and giggled again. If there was one thing he did well, he could always manage to make her smile. He was quite adorable, really. And that was why someone else should have him. He was just too good for her. Yep, just keep telling yourself that, Logan. Alice thought.
“Uh huh.” Alice muttered, eyes travelling to him once more. She was sure she had a disbelieving look on her face. “How about red rocks?” She asked. He let out a sigh and Alice shook her head slightly, returning her gaze to the rocks and then to the pond. “Not all Slytherins are…” Alice started, almost defending them. She was going to end up sounding like Lily on one of her speeches about Snape. Her face blanked out for a moment as she tried to get certain unwanted thoughts out of her mind, before she plastered what she hoped was a neutral expression on.
Turning to look at Frank, Alice waited to see what he was up to. A small smile appeared when she saw his position and she grinned when he spoke. “Alice really doesn’t care about the rocks.” She repeated after him. “But hey, if that’s what Frank likes, go for it.” She told him. The blonde ran both hands through her wavy locks, listening to what Frank was saying about his mother. “Oh, don’t I know all about disappointing a mother.” The female commented. She rarely spoke of her own mother. And if she did, it wasn’t something pleasant. She was always a disappointment to her mother. Alice never got along well with her cousins from her mother’s side of the family either. And they were Slytherins. Suddenly the promise she made to herself that her next relationship be a good healthy one with no Slytherins was sounding rather good.
The Gryffindor girl half smiled when she heard the relief in his sigh. It was quite plain to her that he liked her. She would have to be blind not to see it. But Alice was just not going to take the next step. She was still hurting and hell, if she ever got into a relationship with him, she didn’t want him to think that it was because she just needed someone. She never ever got into a rebound relationship. Alice just thought it was selfish and cruel to the other party.
Waiting for Frank to reply, Alice wondered if she was doing the right thing here. Asking him out for a swim? She was tempting him, wasn’t she? Oh, what would Em say to that? But when Frank agreed, Alice smiled. It wasn’t like she was forcing him. Right? Right. He could always refuse and then she would just head into the pond herself. Alice had done swims in September. She had a nifty little trick which Frank was obviously not aware of because he was asking her questions. The blonde smirked at him, taking off her cardigan to reveal a navy tank top before answering. “Frank Longbottom, letting a little cold get in his way?”
“The way I see it, we’ll either get the water warm enough with magic so that it doesn’t chill us to the bone and get in with or without a top on… or we Impervius our clothes and take a swim in the cold water.” Alice said, kicking off her flats and heading the few steps towards the pond barefooted. She paused a moment to throw her cardigan onto a spot where there was no paint before turning back to Frank. “Pick one.” She grinned impishly at him. And yes, it was completely a test. _____________________________________ Word Count 684 Tags Frankie. <3 Template By Arro @ Caution 2.0 Notes Bad Alice. I love the last line of your post, btw.

TAG//ALICE WORDS//865 NOTES//Ooo La La,Bad Frankie BAD!
I'M NOT IN LOVE, THIS IS NOT MY HEART I'M NOT GONNA WASTE THESE WORDS ABOUT A GIRL Not all Slytherins were bad, if it was anyone else Frank probably would have flipped around and said ‘Only the ones you choose to hang around ARE bad’ but this was Frank and this was Alice he was talking to. So instead he simply bit the bottom of his lip and prayed that he would keep his mouth shut long enough to change subjects. Alice moved onto to the comments about the fashionable rocks. He smiled, as long as they got past the touchy subjects he’d be able to live. Alice asked about red rocks, Frank perked up to this comment. He looked back down to the knapsnack he picked up one of the white pebbles that was hardly bigger then a thumb nail, he pulled one of the point three brush back out quickly flipping the water colors back open. He dipped the brush into the red and quickly painted over the white rock, he paused setting the rock down on his knee. (More paint added to the collection). What could he put it on to make it look fashionable? Frank’s eyes brightened as he saw one of the leather bands wrapped around his wrist.
Twisting the band he pulled it from his wrist. He quickly dipped the point five brush in the black paint. He paused staring down at the leather, he carefully wrote ‘Alice’ in his best calligraphy. He set the brush down then picking up the red rock placing it to the left of her name. He dug around once more in the bag pulling out his wand. “Amendo” Frank stated, his hand carefully steadied on the band. He watched as the yellow light carefully pulled the red rock and leather band together. It sizzled for a moment then the charm broke. Frank yanked on the rock once to make it sure it was bound tightly. He smiled dropping his wand and standing back up to his full height. He turned towards Alice taking her hand in his, wrapping the band around her wrist. He tightened the strings at the bottom before looking back up to her. “The water color may fade. So I might have to fix it, once in a while.” Frank muttered. He walked back over shoving everything back into it’s place including his wand.
Frank then paused turning to face Alice once more, grinning to actually hide some sort of horrible feelings. “You know, if you hate it. You can probably leave it here too, someone may walk by also named Alice and enjoy it,” It was sort of harsh considering it was her exact words twisted. Frank shook his head trying to push the thought of her absolutely hating it out of his mind. Frank’s smile slowly faded as Alice brought up how she knew all about disappointed mothers. He nodded softly. He knew it was a soft spot for Alice and decided he’d rather not pry into it. Once again, given if it was anyone else he’d be having them paint out their feelings. Though Alice he wasn’t quite sure how she relieved feelings. Oh that was right, she went and found a Slytherin. Frank shook his head, he was sure doing a lot of jealous rage today.
Frank shifted uncomfortably. Women were so naïve to men’s problems with the cold. Cold water was a whole other ball park ten times worse for men. It was not only painful but quite uncomfortable. He didn’t exactly feel like sharing the worlds light with Alice so he grinned. “Correction, men let a little cold water always get in there way,” Frank replied trying to stop a sudden outburst of laughter flow. This would be one he would go back to the guys and share. If only life knew how bad cold water was. Woman would start carrying around deathly cold ice cubes instead of pepper spray. That’s when she went there, no tops on. Frank cringed, no images. No. Nope. That was just cruel of Alice. Frank turned away for a second pretending he left something out of the sack before turning back towards her. “Who do you take me for? James or Sirius?” Frank froze. He knew what he really wanted to say. One of your dreamy hot Slytherin boys? Dam jealousy.
“So heating the water it is, with tops. Otherwise you might be blinded by my smoking body” Frank winked once. This time letting his lips form in the same half smile that he had previously witnessed Alice do. At least he could joke about his ridiculous artist body. Frank pulled the leather jacket from his body chucking on the last unpainted rock. He then pulled the belt from around his waist. Besides wasn’t the point of this frolicking to clean his clothes? Well if they were topless(alice)not only would Lily castrate him, he was pretty sure he would be earning a new name for himself. But that would be fun. NO. Bad Frankie, bad. The tank top was teasing enough. Most of the time the boys saw the girls they were wrapped up in funky sweaters, or in school robes. “I think I made my choice” Frank stumbled, holding his wand at his side.

Red rocks were just a passing remark. Alice didn’t actually expect Frank to present her with a red rock. Well, a small pebble really. She did nothing but watch him work and the smile on her lips just remained there. This was certainly not something she expected when she headed out to take a walk. But Alice liked surprises, the good ones anyway. Her eyes widened slightly when Frank took off a band from his wrist and started writing her name on it. It looked like she was getting a rock from Frank Longbottom. She’d gotten worse things, really. The blonde waited patiently for Frank to finish what he was doing. She wouldn’t say she was very excited to get a pebble with her name on it, but hey, it was a nice gift from a friend and it could turn out to be very lovely.
When Frank stood up and handed her the small stone with an attached band, Alice giggled. “Gotcha.” The blonde said, in response to his comments about the paint fading. She held her hand out to study it. It was quite pretty, actually. It made a nice little accessory. And if there was something Alice liked, it was accessories. “Oh, shut up, Longbottom.” The Gryffindor chided, aware he was twisting her words. “It’s quite lovely. And the red colour makes everything pretty.” She smiled sweetly up at him. The subject of mothers was done away with a simple nod in response from her fellow Gryffindor.
Alice looked at him strangely when he looked like he was going to laugh but didn’t want to. Was she missing something? Maybe. Who knew? But she did know she conjured up images for Frank. That was the whole point. She tested the water by dipping a foot in, hearing what the male said. “You’re nothing like them, Frankie.” Alice told him, turning around to face him as well. “You’re one of the good blokes, aren’t you?” Now, why did that sound to her like she was saying it in a bad way? Or maybe that was the wrong thing to say. But Frank was vastly different from James and Sirius. He didn’t go around hitting on everything that moved, he didn’t like Quidditch, and he probably did all sorts of things Alice didn’t know about. Like drawing or photography or feeding Thestrals. And Alice had no idea why she was thinking of all that.
Her mind snapped back when Frank mentioned something about his smoking body. She grinned before laughing softly, taking out her wand from the little holster on her jeans. “I have no doubt you have a smoking body underneath that paint splattered shirt of yours, darling.” Alice made a point to glance over at Frank when she said that. Shaking her head, she pointed her wand at the pond and said the spell to warm up a portion of the water. She didn’t want to be in a hot spring, after all.
Alice wiggled out of her jeans and within a minute or so, was in the pond and grinning at Frank. “Well, come join me then!” She told him, wading deeper into the pond. The blonde estimated she had made the water warm for about a few hundred meters. Still, that probably wouldn’t stop her from dragging Frank into cold water.

TAG//ALICE WORDS//749 NOTES//One super depressed Frank, commin right up!
I'M NOT IN LOVE, THIS IS NOT MY HEART I'M NOT GONNA WASTE THESE WORDS ABOUT A GIRL Frank couldn’t help but grin once Alice mentioned she actually thought the wristband he had just fastened was lovely. He couldn’t deny the feelings that stirred in his stomach. Why couldn’t he win just for a few seconds? Frank watched as she dipped her foot into the water. He stood by, he was not getting anywhere near the water until it was heater at least a little bit. He continued to watch Alice, then she defened him in a weird sort of still harsh way. He wasn’t like them, Frank rubbed the back of his head, from anyone else he would have taken that as a complete compliment. Although, Alice would probably date one of them in a heart beat if they weren’t so, so hard to deal with at times. He sighed quietly continuing to watch her dip her foot in the water, what could he say to that. Then she took it farther, a good bloke? Frank’s shoulders slumped, she wanted…a not good bloke? He didn’t under her, ever. What did Sirius that he didn’t? Frank paused thinking about all of those things. Maybe he should change the question to what did Sirius and Frank have in common.
Should he try to find another girl? Should he have given up on Alice? Maybe Alice would forever stay a Slytherin kind of female and he would end up finding himself old, with nothing but old paintings to keep him company. Frank sighed quietly through his teeth. He sat down at the waters side, crossing his legs once more. He didn’t want to think about that. Not even Alice’s next comment made up for how crappy he suddenly felt. It was a joke, and Frank usually could joke about his skeleton body but right now he bet if he was Sirius or James, Alice would be climbing all over him begging to go in topless. Maybe, he should have just given up. Maybe he should have given up his hopes and dreams forever go. Next time he bumped into Lily she would be bouncing with excitement about James and he would put on a fake smile and be happy for her. That’s what Frank did, that’s what Frank always did. He watched Alice wriggle out of her jeans, now that was completely un fair.
Frank wanted to stay mad at her, he slowly looked towards the sand avoiding the beautiful siren’s body. ‘Stare at your feet, uck, do something with your feet’ Frank had heard the small spell and the water rippled. He looked up to see Alice, she wanted him to come join him. He placed his hands under his chin watching her slowly, not moving an inch. Maybe he would tell James he owed him, and turn him into a Slytherin for a day. What he wouldn’t give to be that ex that she continued to run back too. He would probably give anything just to be him. Even if it was just one kiss, one hand hold. He would do anything, give anything he just wanted to know what it felt like. The kid was lonely, and the only person that could fill that whole hardly knew he existed. He was Frankie to her, and it wasn’t a cute pet name either. It sounded like a poorly drawn cartoon animal who wore pigtails and played with blocks. Frank sighed watching her. Maybe this was a bad idea.
Frank slid a fake smile over his features looking towards Alice. “I don’t know, still looks far too cold,” Frank was being a baby, yes. Though could anyone blame him? This was probably the closest anyone would ever relate to James. It wasn’t full on rejection but it was enough to make his head ache. He watched her for another few moments. He continued to try and come up with ways to make himself like that SLytherin boy. He could grow his hair out? He could grow a beard? He could act like a git and parade around announcing his accomplishments to the world? He could give up painting? He could take extra flying lessons, he could have James teach him Quidditch? Frank paused, give up painting? Give up drawing, man he was losing it. Frank shook his head, no girl was worth giving up painting. Frank looked back over to Alice. Her words about the silly rocks popped back into his head. He would give up his guitar for one moment with her. Dam, he had it bad.

Alice turned back around when she didn’t hear any accompanying splash of the water that indicated Frank was in the pond. She tilted her head and looked at him. Her lips pressed together as she wondered just why he wasn’t joining her. Come to think of it, he hadn’t made any wisecrack remark about his body as well. He had just gone completely silent. Yep, telling him he was one of the good guys did not help matters at all. She supposed she could tell him that she knew he had feelings for her. And then let him come crashing down by telling him she only went for the bad boys who broke her heart. Not that he didn’t know that already. So why make him hurt any more? She was giving Emmeline heart attacks with the way she was acting lately. She couldn’t just drop another bombshell by talking to Frank about feelings and love and all that stuff.
The blonde swam back to the shore, close enough to hear Frank talk. “You know, if you don’t want to join me, just say so.” Alice said, before scooping up some water in her palms and flinging it in Frank’s general direction. “You don’t have to make up excuses.” She crossed her arms, suddenly wishing that the water was scalding hot so that Frank would get scalded. Darn it. It was happening again. She was getting upset and angry over the smallest of issues. She hadn’t anticipated being moody and depressed. Then again, what was she supposed to be after getting rid of a life that was part of her?
Taking it out on Frank was not going to help matters. “Sorry. I’m sorry.” Alice said, eyes averting up to the sky. It wasn’t like Frank knew what had happened. Only Emmeline did and Alice was pretty sure she wasn’t about to tell another soul. “Just have some issues with excuses.” Her voice almost broke at the end of that statement and the blonde turned around, taking in deep breaths. She was not about to break down in front of Frank. No sir, she wasn’t. He’d probably be thinking that she was all heartbroken about a particular Slytherin. She placed a hand over her heart, willing it to beat slower. If she turned around now, would she be alone?

TAG//ALICE WORDS//587 NOTES//One super depressed Frank, commin right up!
I'M NOT IN LOVE, THIS IS NOT MY HEART I'M NOT GONNA WASTE THESE WORDS ABOUT A GIRL Frank sat watching her, that’s when it happened. She was the fire and obviously he was far to close and was burned. His mouth hung open slightly. He knew Alice, quite well and this wasn’t Alice speaking, she was never mean. He looked back down to his feet, not knowing what to say had become a trend, but feeling his heart fall into pieces, that was something else. What could he say or do damit to show that he wasn’t in it for the hook ups, he just wanted her. He stared at the grass, his fingers running through it slowly. His thought process was slightly skewed, he needed to make himself into a bad boy, and fast. Her next comment left his mouth hanging. She was being…mean? What did Frank do? Frank’s thoughts drifted quickly, did he say something? He tried so hard covering it all up, he didn’t want to make things awkward, he wanted to just, to just feel loved. Apparently that was to dam hard. His eyes carefully made themselves busy elsewhere. He wasn’t…wanted or something of the sort apparently. Alice started apologizing and somehow that made him feel even worse. She now felt bad for offending him. He growled quietly.
She could insult him, she could stab him in the back and say sorry and he’d forgive her. That was what happened when you were crazy about someone. He stood, ready to turn to leave. He was obviously just bothering her. That’s when he noticed her turn around. Oh. Well there was cue number one. Lily always did that when she was either one going to scream, or two going to cry in either one remorse of two frustrations. Frank dug his foot into the ground before pulling his shirt off. He would not be one to walk away, he was better than those Slytherins. Obviously not better for Alice, but he was better as in he had manners, he was loyal, he couldn’t walk away from someone who was so distraught they had to turn around to avoid eye contact. Every part of Frank was still quite livid. Although he still found himself lowering himself into the luke warm water. He made his way towards Alice, grabbing her arm. He let a low sigh through his lips, pulling her into a tight hug. “Hey, nothing to apologize for,” He released her quickly.
Even though he quickly forgave people, he still had feelings and at the moment they were still trying to recover. Not only were feelings trying to recover, but his heart was still trying to put itself back together. Rejection was tough, the one you loved hating on you and telling to your face that you’d never be her type, yup that stung. He forced a smile onto his face, cupping his hands together he squirted water towards her. “Smile, Logan.” He replied, smirking. He took a few steps back his right leg hitting a rather cold part of the pond. His teeth grind together. “Sections…are warm, only, sections,” Frank managed to spit out rather quickly. Pain wasn’t the word. He turned the small amount of pain into a fit of laughter looking back to her. “Now you, Logan, should have been sorted into Slytherin,” He mocked. “For your short temper- and cruel pranks,” Frank paused, another small bit of laughter forming on his lips. “Oh wait, that’s in Gryffindor too, I guess you can stay,” Frank smiled, pulling his body back into the warm section. The cold was deadly.

Alice was almost losing it. This was going to be something to tell Emmeline about. She didn’t recall ever being nasty to Frank. Just something else for her best friend to berate her about. Something for her to beat herself up over. If anything, Frank was one of those people that were sensitive and she should have known better than to tell him that he was making up excuses. Closing her eyes, Alice just wished that she was somewhere else. Her mind was not making coherent thoughts. The atmosphere between the two of them had changed from being playful and cheerful to just horrible, at least in her opinion and right about now he was probably getting ready to leave.
She didn’t exactly have a fear of abandonment, but Alice knew that if Frank left now, she was going to be extremely upset and stay here in this pond until someone came to fetch her. Opening her eyes, Alice started to turn just as he grabbed her arm to envelop her into a hug. Against his bare chest. She heard him speak but before she had time to say anything else, he released her. Alice blinked, seeing the smile on his face. One day she was going to figure out when he was smiling and not meaning it. This looked like one of those smiles. Alice frowned slightly instead of smiling when the water hit her face. She shook her head, not speaking. She wasn’t quite sure what she was going to say now.
“Cold water is much more effective in getting rid of paint.” She finally spoke. The blonde had no idea if that was true, but it was what came out of her mouth when Frank had apparently stepped into a cold part of the pond. She raised her eyebrows when Frank said she should have been sorted into Slytherin. For her short temper and cruel pranks. She didn’t play pranks… unless of course, he meant her telling him indirectly he wasn’t her type. Wasn’t that called letting him down gently? “You wouldn’t have befriended me then, if I was in Slytherin.” And saved himself all of the heartache. “And I would be really bitter enemies with Lily too.” She stopped short of making a comment about Slytherin boys and herself. “So, really, me being in Gryffindor is for the best.” Alice winked at him, and sent another splash of water towards him.

TAG//ALICE WORDS//592 OUTFIT//CLICKFORFRANKIEPLX NOTES//Finally got around to making him an outfit! I'M NOT IN LOVE, THIS IS NOT MY HEART I'M NOT GONNA WASTE THESE WORDS ABOUT A GIRL Frank laughed to himself. Cold water get rid of paint? He shook his head once, she was cute in her ignorance. At least she had that going for her. “What do you wash dirty dishes with Logan?” Frank teased squirting more water in her direction. He couldn’t help but let a genuine smile creep across his face. Hell, he couldn’t stay mad at her if he tried. He really hated that sometimes. She mentioned that if she was Slytherin he wouldn’t talk to her. He sighed, well yes. That would be utterly awful, rejection was far better than not knowing Alice at all. “I don’t know Alice, you could probably be in Slytherin and I’d still be your friend,” The sad part of this, it was entirely true. If Alice acted the same she was bound to have a Gryffindor boy chasing after her. What could he say, houses didn’t matter much. Unless the so called house hosted blonde, rugged boys that Alice drooled after. He looked away for a moment trying to shake the bitter jealousy from his mind. He hated feeling that way, and she was the only one that made him feel it.
Frank thought this over for a moment. Alice and Lily, SLytherin Vs. Gryffindor. Yup, that would have never worked. The two would have hexed each other by now and been kicked out of Hogwarts. He sighed imaging the image though. It was rather priceless. “You know, I might pay to see that one day,” Frank couldn’t help but wonder who would win. The two were so alike on so many different levels. Maybe that’s why they hit heads so often. He didn’t really figure it out. They were best friends, enemies, good friends, couldn’t talk to each other. Got over it, and now were friends. He shrugged, all he knew was if he ever got the chance to bring Alice home to meet his mum, Lily was being drug along just to soften the tension. Was that wrong? That was probably wrong, maybe he would invite James? A double date with his mum, how cute. He rolled his eyes meeting Alice’s once more. He smiled softly, he couldn’t help but smile everytime she looked his way. Dam. He had it bad.
Frank was covered in another splash off water. He opened an eye to see red paint running from his hair down across his face. He looked like a zombie of some sort, rising out of the pond to attack Alice. He laughed once, realizing he hadn’t voice this he blushed. Thankfully the red paint would hide the red cheeks. “Zombie…” Frank shouted, holding his arms out, swishing through the water. He fell back into the water, kicking his feet as hard as he could towards Alice. How was that for a splash. He quickly ducked under the water to avoid any sudden spells that would be sent his way. He popped up for a few seconds grabbing a breath of air before running a hand through his hair. Looking down to his hand he noticed green, blue, yellow, red smears of paint. Man, he had certainly went to town over there. He raised his hand flicking some of the wet paint in Alice’s direction, then ducking quickly. It was like the horrible tension hadn’t even been there, and that’s what Frank was hoping for. He didn’t want to make Alice’s life any harder then it was, he just wanted…to be there for her. Even if it meant he was getting any thing out of it.

Oh, now he was laughing. Well, that was a good sign. Even if it was at her expense. She pouted at him after she was asked a question. Obviously her mind wasn’t working well. Nope, not at all. But she’d rather say nonsensical things than think about stuff that made her go all depressed. “With soap.” She replied, leaving out the hot water part. She looked at him, with a combination of amusement and sadness in her eyes. If she’d been brought up differently, Alice had no doubt she would have landed herself in Slytherin. She had cousins over in that house and her mother was a prime example of a Slytherin. But somehow or the other, she’d landed up in Gryffindor. She had her father to thank for that, she was sure. “Like I said, thank Merlin I’m in Gryffindor.” Then again, if she was in Slytherin she might have had less heartache. But she wouldn’t have Emmeline, for the simple fact that she was a Muggleborn.
“Like a female version of Snape and Potter? Probably the same thing, insults, hexes, bitter rivalry… With that touch of bitchiness that you boys can never have.” Alice told him. Being friends with Lily wasn’t all bad. If there was no Emmeline or Natalie around, she might still make conversation with Lily but it wasn’t like she’d go out of her way to do so. She was sure there were times Em had to drag her along to a gathering with Lily and Nat. Although lately, Alice was just going along without argument. Most likely because she didn’t have anyone else to distract her. She tugged down on her top, heading slowly towards the colder part of the pond.
Alice stared at Frank for a moment, with the paint dripping off his face. “Oh, Merlin. Not a zombie.” She cried out. And splash. A big splash that sent water everywhere. More specifically, onto her. They were certainly acting like children now. She didn’t mind the water, but as Frank was covered with paint, Alice was pretty certain she was as well. “Longbottom!” She yelled, just as he went beneath the surface of water. She was going to physically grab him and… do something. And then he came back up and actually covered her with more paint. Her lips parted in mild shock before she went to him and gave him a hard knock on his underwater head. “The whole point of this was to get rid of paint on you. Not cover me with it!” She grumbled, pretty sure he couldn’t actually hear her if he was underwater.

TAG//ALICE WORDS//680 OUTFIT//CLICKFORFRANKIEPLX NOTES//Finally got around to making him an outfit! I'M NOT IN LOVE, THIS IS NOT MY HEART I'M NOT GONNA WASTE THESE WORDS ABOUT A GIRL Frank laughed at the very thought of replacing James and Snape with lily and Alice. It worked very well and Merlin knew that. The bitchiness that Alice touched on ever so gently was very true. Males usually just knocked the crap out of each other until they felt content with the others punishment. However, females decided to drag out long grudges that seemed so pointless Frank got a headache everytime Lily tried explaining to him that she couldn’t deal with someone because of something that happened in the past. It simply didn’t make sense on any level. Maybe in some other life he would become a female and the light would shine down on him and all of this crap would make sense to him. One day that would happen, but as of today, he still understood next to nothing. Females, they were so confusing and yet they said they never got guys. What was there to get? As simple as dogs really, pat our heads, give us food, and rub our bellys just right and destined to be loyal forever. Well, most guys anyways.
Frank grinned when Alice decided to play along with his Zombie antics. She didn’t even punch him in the face when he splattered paint all over her. He winced at his last name and quickly ducked back under the water. Frank could hear Alice rather clearly as she stated that they were here to clean him off not to start another feud of crazyness. Frank quickly sprung back up out of the water finding the long hair back so the pain splattered everywhere. This time he hadn’t mean to flick the red paint everywhere. He squinted as he looked back towards Alice. Merlin help him, he didn’t mean to cover her in the paint. He bit down on his lip looking back to her. Although, paint did her well. Not that Alice wasn’t gorgeous without paint, it made her look…a little bit laid back. Less stress, and almost a tab bit more fun then usual. He smiled towards her, he extended a hand to move a piece of now red hair from her face. He was so close to her, what if he just…accidently hugged her and never let go. What if he kissed her and made her see that he was meant for her. His heart sunk, he couldn’t. It would lead to another odd lecture about how she loves Slytherin boys, a.k.a not you Frank.
He sighed, dropping his hand back into the cold water. He didn’t know what to do these days, give up, or keep trying. Sometimes life made no sense, and this was a perfect instance. Girls loved playing hard to get, but Alice was just ridiculous. What was he suppose to think? Frank bit down on his lip, how could he make her see that he was the only one that would ever stay by her side, catch her tears, hug her until she fell asleep, and let her abuse him as much as she wanted, as long as she didn’t leave his side. He had it bad, Frank couldn’t stand being away from her, but the second he was close, he froze up. He knew he couldn’t touch her, moving the hair was already pushing the line. He didn’t want another lecture, he just wanted to make her see, that no matter what happened he would always be there. If he was stuck as a friend, he would be one of the best dam friends the world had ever seen. If he couldn’t hold her hand, he would stand next to it, if he could kiss her lips, his ears would be ready to listen to them. He had to make sure he was there for her, even if she wanted nothing to do with him. “Sorry,” Frank grinned, rubbing the back of his head so he could see all the paint on his hands. “Ease it up Logan, before you give yourself a stroke!” Frank mumbled, kicking back into the water, his feet kicking up more waves.
