PARKINSON and DAWLISH are betrothed. DAWLISH, however, isn't exactly the ideal boyfriend or man. He is incompetent and rude. PARKINSON, a quiet girl, would never voice that he hurts her. DAWLISH hurts his future wife mentally, physically and emotionally. He forces her to stay quiet. She feels as though they are already married but in an unhealthy relationship. She tries to avoid him at all costs and at every chance she gets. He does not mind this, as he does not like her at all.
Their parents have no idea what is going on between them. Whenever PARKINSON and DAWLISH are seen out in public together, they look like the happiest couple in the world. Behind closed doors, he is always at her throat, spitting insults and throwing punches. She wears a lot more makeup than most girls her age do to cover up the bumps and bruises she gets from her boyfriend. PARKINSON would do anything to get away from him, or to have him away from her permanently.
DAWLISH sees nothing wrong with the way things are. He grew up in a household like that, where the woman was thrown around and disrespected. The appearance of the family was always superb. He was taught from a young age that one should never let outsiders know of any problems in their life. And that's how he made sure his and PARKINSON's relationship was. Whether she agreed or not did not matter to him. He was also taught that women were never right.
What will happen to the two? Will PARKINSON finally grow up and be able to tell DAWLISH that she's sick of the way he is treating her? Will their wedding be called off? Will DAWLISH's ideals ever be demolished? All © to Marissa at "Through Undead Eyes"
